Arrival Story:
She showed up, a stray, and I wanted my husband to get rid of her. But he said, honey I can't, she's wrapped around my ankle. We already had one kitty, and it's expensive to keep animals that are stray ones.

Bio:
Blackie was an indoor/outdoor cat until my recent move to town. Now she is indoors, except for the one time she made a dash for freedom. I didn't miss her for a couple of hours. When I started looking, I heard a weak little meow, and found her under the porch.

Fat and over 40!


Beginning of Spring!

Wouldn't you just know it, while mom was on her California trip, I developed
diabetes. Wow, never thought it would happen to me. But mom soon saw the
symptons; drinking lots of water and using litter by the ton. Well she stuck me in the dreaded carrier, and off to the Vet we go! They had to drag me out of it to
weigh me, and as soon as they let go of me, I crawled right back into dreaded carrier. The Vet came in and dragged me out again, and took some of my blood.
Said it would only take 10 minutes to see what was going on. Mom was right, my
blood sugar was 500! Yikes! So now mom gives me insulin twice a day, and I go back in another week for another blood check. I really don't mind the shot, I don't even feel it, mom comes up behind me like to give me a pat, and it's over, and then she pats me too. It's tough to be fat and over 40. I'll be 15 in July, so I must be over 40!
