Life With My Bi-Ped

Buddicat .... You are missed like crazy. When I wake up in the morning and you are not sitting on the back of the sofa, when I go into the kitchen and you are not following , hungry, anytime I open the door, anytime I look at the clock and its near a meal time ("Buddicat is probably getting hungry"), when I sit down and put my feet on the shoe warmer in a manner to leave space for you, when I avoid laying a guitar against the sofa arm because it's were Buddicat jumps up, ... I'm glad we got to be best friends for these last 6 years of your life, wish you could have told me what all your other years were like ... wish you could have stayed longer ... like always ...

Hey Cats! S'been a while. And its almost Thanksgiving so I thought I'd mention what i been thankful for lately. One) Carmallowcat has found a home and seems to behave more better now. Two) Jeffurry--my Pawp--has planted some nice little patches of very green grass that he keeps in wonderful kitty grade condition. Long enough to get a nice nibble everyday when I go out for a little sun or fresh air. Three) Jeffurrycat has put the brakes on his E-bay guitar mania so he's not constantly taking up potential napping spaces from me. (And actually one of the two guitars he bought this year is quite beautifur. If only he would leave it out of the case sometime I could cuddle up with it and show him how much I love the intrigueing sound those strings make when I paw at them.)
Training My Bi-PedFebruary 23rd 2008 7:20 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
22 Feb 2008 -- I've found the most effective technique yet to communicate to my Bi-Ped my need to sample the meats and cheeses that are part of his diet. I have found that sneaking up on him very quietly and reaching up with my front paws as high as I can on his side gives him such an amusing surprise that I am almost guaranteed a treat of whatever he is eating. Sometimes I misjudge and its not something I want. But I can ALWAYS tell when there's meat or cheese so thats when I make my move. I stay quiet for a few minutes to let him think I've found an irresistable sun puddle. The I quietly move in ... I stretch up high on my rear legs and reach up with my paws. A couple times I actually scared him and he freaked and so I freaked cause I thought he might accidently drop utensils on me but then he quickly acted like I was the cutest thing on four legs ... well... two legs, sometimes. Its a technique I assure you will work with YOUR Bi-Ped behavior training. And I've noticed that he seems to find it most cutesy when I just lean on him very gently ... and he is most surprised that I can do that ... like I'm some sort of clumsy dufus ... I"M a CAT JOE!! THAT IS MY SPECIAL SKILL! I CAN MOVE WITH PRECISION AND SPEED! ..... or with extraordinary softness and grace, as needed ....
