Coloration: Gray

Favorite Nap Spot: Generally in her bucket bed, the human beds, or on the cat tree
Favorite Food: Everything!

Arrival Story: Unlike the other three cats, which were found, Sable found us. She just waltzed up to my aunt and uncle's porch one day as they were outside, and made herself at home, laying down and even allowing my then-four year old cousin to pick her up and hold her. Figuring that this little gray cat was owned by someone due to the dirty nylon collar she wore, my aunt put up "Found" posters to see if anyone had lost a cat. When no one spoke up after a time, my aunt brought the little cat to the vet where she was given a clean bill of health. Unfortunately, my aunt was unable to keep the cat because of Fritzi, their temperamental elderly cat who pretty much ruled the roost there. We offered to take the cat we'd dubbed Sable at least temporarily - a year later, we still have her! Sable adjusted to the house on the very first day we brought her home, acting as if she'd lived there her entire life.
Bio: Sable is a very curious and dominant cat who likes to be wherever the action is. And if there isn't any action, she's bound to try and create for some! Always looking for ways to keep herself entertained, she became fast friends with the momma and son pair, especially Maus who she wrestles with and follows around constantly. She's a people cat too, and likes to be held and played with. There's not much you can't do to Sable, who is extremely tolerant of roughhousing, and even enjoys it! Sabes plays with Chloe too, though Chloe sometimes gets irritated by Sable's seemingly boundless energy. In addition to her playfulness, Sable is a very vocal cat who enjoys keeping a running commentary of her day. Unlike most cats I've heard, she trills and "chirps" more than she meows. When she does meow, it's of a soft quality, though she does raise it to a yowl on occasion when there's something she really wants!
If Sable can be described in one word, it can be this: Purrsonality! Sable is constantly looking for ways to get into trouble and often "recruits" Maus to pad after her as she seeks out something naughty to do. Generally when there's a crash somewhere in the house, or something in disarray, Sable is the culprit! Despite her penchant for troublemaking she is really a very affectionate cat. She comes when called and follows someone around to get attention. She's also a lapcat and when she gets comfortable will nurse on whatever hand is in reach. Sable's also very good at knowing when there's food, and will come running from anywhere in the house when she hears a plate being put down! 1/2009: A recent diagnosis of FELV won't get our Sable down!

A few days ago was the annifursary of my gotcha day. I decided, since my human meowmy was so sad, that I would work my angelkitty magic and allow for her to adopt two vurry special kitties.
Their names are Helene-Iris and Gabielle, and they spent the bulk of their lives living happily amongst other cats in a cat Sanctuary. Unfurtunately, the Sanctuary could no longer operate, and all of the kitties there had to find furever homes. I knew my human meowmy was missing me, so I arranged it that she'd rescue not one, but two kitties! They are sisters and are a lot like me in many ways! They both are talkative - that was a must, mol! - and like to play and climb on things. They arrived yesterday and are still getting used to their surroundings. Once they figure out that the den is now "theirs", they'll be posting on their journals!
Today would have been the third anniversary of my Gotcha Day. My human meowmy is sad today, because I can't be there to celebrate, but I am watching over from the Bridge. Three years ago today, I was saved from a life wandering the streets, alone, cold, and hungry. I had a great life, though it may have been a short one. I put a lot of living into those three years!
testing, testing, one two - can you hear me from up here? I'm still trying to get the hang of this whole Bridge thing and waiting for my wings to get here so I can fly around with the other angel kitties and watch over my earth furmily. It's so beautiful up here and there's endless fields of grass I can run through and chew on! And so many things to climb. I miss my furmily very much but I know that I will see them again some day. I wish I could tell them not to be sad and not to cry for me, but I know that they will cry anyway because they miss me as much as I miss them.
My furmily and me are grateful for everyone's kind wishes and gifts. They mean so much to us.
Muppet for the rainbow star and candle. My furmily is still purring for you to feel better, and I will purr for you from up here.
Buddie, always loved for the gold star, and also the blue rosette. The star matches my eyes :purr: Looking forward to meeting you and the other angel kitties.
