Micki - on an adventure somewhere?

January 7th 2007 2:12 am   [link to this entry]

I'd forgotten to write so I cant remember exactly WHEN she left us last year (2006) but sometime not too long after seeing here after her last disappearance she again could be found no where. Ron, my husband thinks someone took her but here in Farm Country, there are many cats like her so I dont agree. Perhaps she found a sweeter deal or has passed on. Sad.

After 17 days away from home-Micki the missing 10 year old- cat returns

Saturday January 7, 2005

Yesterday after work we zipped into town to hopefully pick up the rubber washer thing to fix our leaking kitchen faucet. No luck. Picked up some other household items instead.

We were driving home, having just turned off of the main street onto our little road from below and ron stops the car abrubtly. (Not the easiest to do right now with the icy roads).

He spotted Micki-the cat we've not seen in 17 days. She's sitting in the snow near the road looking healthy and perhaps a little less heavy than when we last saw her. She's meowing, ron's calling her, ron grabs her and we drive home.

Micki is 10 years old.

She insists on eating eating eating but we limit her so that she doesn't get sick. She behaved herself overnight (normally waking ron in the wee hours-he puts her out then) and this morning its like she never left.

Life returning to normal.
