Arrival Story:
When I was 7 and we had just moved to the house on the side street, my mom started to feed a cat with a white diamond on her chest. After a short time she started bringing her three kittens to us to feed. A few weeks later she disappeared; after another month or so, one of the kittens also stopped coming around. About six months later the second of the three kittens disappeared, leaving only the runt (the only one with no white). My mom and I tamed him and brought him inside to live shortly before Chicago's famed Blizzard of '79. He kept going outside after that; but over time his trips became fewer and farther between, and finally when he was about 7 he stopped going outside altogether and became strictly an indoor kitty.

Bio:
Muffin was diagnosed with CRF in early '90, the vet gave him 1-2 months to live. Shortly after his diagnosis, I brought in Bandit (about 6 weeks old); we believe that Bandit kept Muffin going for much longer, as Muffin lived another year after that! I guess he felt he couldn't die until he was sure he had taught Bandit all that Bandit needed to know, huh? LOL
