indoors Arrival Story: Biscuit was found in the woods with her sisters when she was about 8 weeks old. Her meowmy was semi feral Torti with white feet. We have been trying to trap her and then realized she had babes, they were young enough and caught off guard so I was able to scoop up the kittens and take them home.
/ update 3-14-13 Biscuits health began to go downhill this past July. Today she was not acting herself and had become weak so I took her to the vet and there she had a stroke. Even though she could not stand up and could barely move she continued to make biscuits and purr as she crossed the bridge. Fly free sweet girl. Bio: I am an enigma...they still don't know what is wrong with me...but I have greatly improved..(read my diary for the whole story). My white counts remain on the high side, but my red count is finally in the normal range. I had my surgery...spay/explore..the vet found nothing. They think my bone marrow is malfunctioning. I run and romp and play and act like a normal kitten, I just get tired more than average. I remain an enigma....they are just gonna check my blood ever so often for now till they figure me out.
update 11/2010 - I am still that enigma, but I have made it to 3 when the white coats thought I would never see 1. Sweet Biscuits time is done, this evening she joined Ras, Dusty, CB and so many who have gone before her across the rainbow bridge. Her health started going downhill last July and she made her journey this evening. When she was a kitten the vet didn't think she would live a year, but she shared many more than that with us. Godspeed my sweet girl, making biscuits right up until the end. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
well, the whitecoats did not believe I would ever see my 1st birthday, and I have seen 5 grand birthdays. But whatever was wrong with me when I was a wee kitten seems to be rearing it's ugly head again. My counts are all wonky, I have no energy, I nibble my food...I am trying to feel better, but the whitecoats are still baffled. sometimes being an enigma is good, other times not so much. What will be will be as I have had 5 very happy years playing with the crew and hope I will have more. Just taking things one day at a time...hugs and purrrrs to all my wonderpurr furriends for all the well wishes...
Another year has almost flown by, many friends have crossed the rainbow bridge...Uncle Frankie who introduced me to the spa and watched over us as we played joined Mac this past week across the bridge. The spa seems strange without his antics, his expertise in style...I miss my Uncle Frankie...I miss Mac, Abby, Fela, Merlin, Sammy dawg, Emily, Smokey,too many friends to list....
But you know what, Ras says they watch over us and on occasion come and play at the spa. They live on in our hearts their memories make us smile whether in our furamily or our catster family, we love them all.
And this fall as the leaves change color and the holidays come, I am thankful for all my wonderpurr furriends! I love my Teddy R. and I hope all my friends and their furamilies have a great Thanksgiving, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, what ever they happen to celebrate.
