Dilute Calico

She loves to play, play, play...especially with string, and small balls she can paw around!!

Being picked up OR being held for any length of time, and hearing ugly words (no kidding - it's a STITCH). She also doesn't like it when her little brother Tony won't let her groom him.

Favorite Toy:
Turboscratcher, by far (see picture at bottom of profile)! She also LOVES the laser light and anything to do with a string or a small ball.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Her quilt - it was my play quilt when I was a child, and I passed it on. It is on top of the kitty cat playpen we have, which we don't use anymore. She likes it because it is high up. Update: she really loves to nap in daddy's recliner now!

Favorite Food:
Pro Pac Hairball Formula Dry Cat Food

She will come to me when I whistle the theme to "Andy Griffith"! She also has an uncanny knack for knowing when you are talking to her (responding w/ different kinds of meows or grunts) or about her. She's a smart girl - makes her mom & dad very proud!!

Arrival Story:
Ashley was dropped with her kittens at the home of our veterinarian. Our other kitty had untimely passed away from a severe infection after being spayed, and after some mourning time, the vet told us to let her know if we were ready for another cat. When we were ready for another cat, we adopted this kitty after she was spayed and recuperated, and named her Ashley because of her markings. The vet technicians and the vet were calling her "mamma kitty".

I'm just happy that whomever dropped her made sure she and her litter were in good hands. Her kittens found homes fairly quickly, and I was happy to adopt "mamma kitty". She is more of an American medium to long hair, but I think of her as a dilute calico.
