Arrival Story: I adopted Morris from a local shelter. He was abandoned there when the shelter was closed.
Bio: After adopting Morris, a vet check revealed he was FIV+ and the vet told me he had to live in a one cat household or with other FIV+ cats. He also told me he could only live 2 - 4 years after being infected with the disease. I did my own research on FIV+ cats and realized the vet was "old school" in his thinking and the disease was not that easy to spread...in fact cats living in the same house who did not fight rarely spread the disease. Only deep puncture wound bites could spread FIV. He was also wrong in his guess of Morris's life expectancy. I have had him almost 5 years and he is my healthiest cat! I think he has lots of his 9 lives left.
Morris used up his 9 lives and went to the Rainbow Bridge on 5/18/07 after a brief illness. He is buried at Petland Cemetery in Vineland, NJ. It will never be the same without Morris
