I love me some catnip... mmmmkaaayy??

I LOVE CATNIP!!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Mom brought some fresh catnip home in her purse. She gave it to me and WOWSIE WOW WOW! I keep trying to get into her purse cuz I still smell it. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. She also gave me some mice toys that have been "stewing" in catnip for a long time.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudes. It is fabulous. Abraham came near one of my mice and I growled at him real low. It was weird.

OK I am gonna crawl under the couch and steal one of Abe's pig ears.

Five Fabulous Things About ME

Scottie tagged me, I like playing this game.

1. I like to catch snakes and bring them home alive to entertain myself with. It's especially entertaining when mom and dad see the snakes.

2. I greet mom in the mornings by headbutting her face, she digs it.

3. I hang out with my brother Abe. Yes, he is a D O G but he is pretty rad.

4. I used to come in from outside to go poo but lately I have been pooing outside. Mom is stoked.

5. There is this weird red dot thing that appears when I sit just outside the screen door when dad let's me in the house. I sit and stare and dad says something like "oh #*&$(" and then this red dot appears. I chase it.

OK who will I be tagging. Aww heck, I gotta think about it!

6. I always end my diaries with a song, so does Abe.

Brave people

I want to take this time to give a shout out to all the brave peeps rescuing animals in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Mom's friend Deb helped save 250 horses yesterday!!! How rad is that? There are really brave firemen and women out there fighting a big fire, saving homes, saving people and saving animals!!! Mom, Abe and I did a prayer yesterday. Abe and I were touching paws and mom put her hand over our paws and she said "comfort, safety, love and knowing peace to all living beings" It was kinda cool. Alas... I couldn't hang with the spiritual moment for too long so I grabbed Abe around the head and bit his cheek. Not hard..

Mom just came outside and got me. I was reeking havoc on a few bluejays. She came out, grabbed me and said "Vinnie, let the birds to their morning stuff ok??"

Anyhow, it's very smokey and foggy here. My eyes sting a little. If any of ya'll are reading this and have a spare moment. Would you mind doing a little prayer or just send some good thoughts out to the animals and people around the Santa Cruz Mountains? Heck, let's do one for the peeps and animals in Myanmar too, and Colorado, and New Orleans, and Darfur...
May all living beings everywhere find comfort today.

Wow... sometimes being spiritual is kind of cool. Though I prefer s**t disturbing.

SNAKES ARE RAD!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been very busy lately. I have been catching garter snakes and bringing them to mom and dad! I caught two different ones the other day, mom and dad pick them up and put them outside. I don't kill them, they are toys. Mom says she hopes there aren't any in the closet or under the bed. I aint sayin!!

Mom just got home from a trip and I left her another snake in our hallway. She took it outside. I don't know why she takes them outside. I think they are fun to have around.

Ok, I caved

Well dad called the vet and the vet gave dad advice on how to get warm compresses on me. Wrap me in a towel like a baby! Dad put warm compresses on my chin and hummed to me and told me I was rad. It was kinda cool once I stopped thinking about opening his jugular.

Mom came home and gave Abe and I cooked chicken liver in chicken broth! MEOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want more!

High Maintenance doesn't BEGIN to cover it...

I am high maintenance! WOOOOO!! Even the vet said so! I got in another scrap with that dumb cat that keeps coming into our house. I got one of those gross abcess things on my chin. It was so hectic! Dad took me to the vet and he put me on the counter and the cute little vet asst. that works there touched it and it burst! They both got all grossed out. Me???? Not so much. It amused me. I am a bad ass remember. I have this drain thing sticking out now and I won't let mom and dad touch it. I think they are talking about taking me to the vet again to let THEM deal with the warm compresses.

Other than all that drama, I am pretty groovy. I ate my breakfast and drank water, I snuggled with mom, head butted Abraham... I let dad rub my ears. But warm compresses on my chin. Hell nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

OK, I can dream can't I??? Thanks Catster! What an honor to be one of today's diary picks. Life is so good!

Abraham and I duked it out BIG time last night. It was so fun. We chased each other all over the house. I did my ninja stance. I love doing that. I stand sideways, ears just a little flat, tuck my head under a little and then I lunge at him sideways through the air.

Yesterday some man came over and was measuring our floor. Mom and dad said we are getting something called Pergo. I don't know what that is but I hope it benefits me in some way, shape or form. Anyhow, I played with the measuring tape a lot and basically got all up in the guys face. It was rad.

I am almost a big boy

WOW you guys. I am almost a big boy. Mom bought me big boy food yesterday. She had a little melt down, she said "aww, I don't get to buy you kitten food anymore..."

Well.. I LIKE BEING A BIG BOY!!! I walk her out to her car every morning when she goes to work, then I go back inside and bug Abe and my dad. I sit in my window in the kitchen and survey my land, I go back outside to chase things and come back inside to go poo in my box.

OH! I almost forgot. I caught a snake the other day. Mom looked outside and came running out to me. She was like "Dude! Not ok, let him go.. that's not nice" I didn't wanna let go but I had to. Then she took me inside and shut the door. She gave me kitty greenies. Not as good as a snake but they are pretty rad.

I WAS ON TV!!!

DUDES!!!!!!!!! I was on TV this morning. In two ways actually. Mom had sent my picture and my silly brother Abraham's picture to KION tv news. They love pets on that station you know. Big time. Anyhow, I was warming my butt on the tv this morning, mom was brushing her teeth and the newscasters said "and here is Vinnie from Scotts Valley" and there was a picture of me. Mom freaked out. She was jumping up and down and acting really bizarre.

Anyhow, I am a rock star, I so know that.

I got in a fight with this putz that keeps coming in our house and stealing my food. He is bigger than me. He scratched me on my face and on my side. Mom fixed my one on my face but I had to go to the vet (I love me some Dr. Arnold mmmkkkaayyy?) I had an abcess. It was so gross and it hurt. Dr. Arnold gave me some stuff that made me feel yummy and they did something or other. It's all a little blurry but when I came to I was wearing this weird ass poncho thing and my fur was shaved on my side and I had this thing in there. Mom even took a day off to be with me and give me love. Dad did it yesterday and he is today. They put warm compress thingy on my side. I got rid of the poncho. I don't like it. Mom found it on dad's shoes in the closet.

I wanna go outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damnit Jim! Mom said just a few more days.

She gave me kitty greenies.

the little red dot

Hey pals! I haven't written in a while. I have been very busy. There is this little red light that appears on the floor and then goes all over the place really fast! I chase and chase it but I can't get it!

So the other morning I looked at the cable box under the tv and I saw the red light but it wasn't moving. I was staring at it and mom goes "omg, do you see a spider????" and then she looks at me again and starts laughing and laughing. I am not know what the amusement was about but I am going to get that red light one day!
