Arrival Story:
My girlfriend has a cat she refuses to spay and on litter number umteenth I agreed to take a kitten. I asked for a girl and she said she had one. She brought "Maya" over and as "she" grew I noticed that "she" was not a she after all. In desperate denial I ignored this until it became clear that "she" was a he and Maya became Jeremaiah. I still call him Maiah.
Bio:
Like his dog brother Bryn and dog sister Bree, Maiah is a wonderful therapy friend. He seems to be able to know when someone is a cat person and breaks through the numerous barriers between my home and my office (which is in a part of our home) to crash sessions. He is very sweet and gentle, and again, like his sibs he is very patient and gentle with the kids who come to see us.
He is also my husband's darling and sleeps under the covers with him at the beginning of the night. He usually leaves when brother Bryn gets jealous and tries to get on the bed with us. Not a lot of room and everyone gets too hot.
