either the pillow he stole off the futon (oversized pillow), on our chair in the living room, his homemade carpet-covered two-tiered two-ramped perch... or in whatever sunbeam/warm spot he can find.
Favorite Food:
spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, cheese (sometimes), reddi whip, meat of any kind (especially turkey), and hummus of all things.
Skills:
He can jump amazingly high, can stand on his back tip-toes for some time, can open a latched door by using his paws to turn the doorknob, then pulling (see pic). He figures out instantly how any door works... but sometimes he just really needs thumbs. :)

Arrival Story:
Nothing too exciting; I just went to the APA shelter and was browsing all the cats... of course, I *thought* I wanted a baby kitten, but just as I was about to leave, Mr. Linus (at the ripe old age of six months) woke up and demanded to be held and petted and that was it! Of course, now I have to pick him up every time I come home or he won't talk to me all night.
Bio:
My favorite Linus story: when I first started seeing my fiance, he was over at my apartment for probably the second time and we were sitting on the couch talking. Linus was watching intently nearby. My boyfriend gave me a kiss, at which point Linus flies up onto my lap, plants his front feet on my chest, and rubs his cheeks on my face as if to say, "MINE MINE MINE!!!" It was the cutest thing. :)
Linus has influenced my highly pet-averse parents to acquire two cats, whom he has visited before for about two weeks each summer and christmas. They take about two days to get used to each other, but then they have a great time! Turns out one of my parents' cats likes Linus better than her less-intelligent brute of a house-mate. :) (As well she should, if you ask me. :) )
Also, at his last vet appointment in St. Louis, the vet said he was perfect. No, really, she used the word "perfect!" I couldn't agree more. :) EDIT: he has a new vet now, since we've moved. the new vet is totally in love with him too. :)
