New furniture! Must smell!

Today has been very exciting, you see I am no longer a young cat so I don't find every little thing of the exciting nature, but today was the exception! Two words: NEW! FURNITURE! I awoke to find Mommy dragging a piece of furniture into place in the dining room. Oh excitement! Of course this was cause for a good sniffdown. I had to smell every inch of the new sewing table just to be sure it wasn't used by any other kitties. I finally concluded that it was acceptable to sit on. But after such rigorous sniffing I was forced to take a looooong bath and have a good nap. Apparently I am the only cat in this house that finds new furniture exciting. All Cupcake did today was stare at the vine on the balcony, foolish kitten. Perhaps I will go chew on her now. Just kidding Mommy, just kidding!
