Arrival Story:
Scully is our 8th/9th cat (she was adopted with her sister) She is Fox's sister and they were part of a litter of 6. We found the mother cat and her kittens out in the rain one day and the kittens were born only days earlier it looked like. She was trying to find a place to keep them safe. So after much consideration and not being able to find a place to place the mother and her babies, we decided to keep them on our indoor porch away from our other cats until the kittens were old enough to be adopted out. Needless to say approximately 5 weeks later I took all the kittens to a no kill shelter and I was told I couldn't leave 3 out of the 6 because they were underweight. I brought them home for another week or two then went back again with them. During this time we also tried getting anyone friends or family to adopt the remaining kittens. No takers. So when I went back again (and this place was quite a drive!) again one kitten (Fox) was underweight and Scully had a cold. So they took the 3rd kitten. I decided I wasn't making the 30 miles trek back again when Fox gained another pound so after long consideration and not wanting to take them to the pound, I kept them both and named them Fox and Scully cause I was a big X-Files fan at the time. :)
