Arrival Story:
I wanted to adopt a calico cat just like I had when I was a teenager. The first cat I saw was Libby. She was a long-haired calico, and just gorgeous! And she looked just like the cat that I'd had before. Even more coincidental, she was being cared for by someone I went to grammar school with! So I knew then that she was supposed to be mine! And since she was born on the Fourth of July, I named her Libby, short for Liberty.

She's a beautiful long-haired calico who loves to be with her Mama, but hates being held.

Goodbye:
Libby stopped eating regularly at the end of July 2009. My vet ran blood tests, and could find nothing wrong. When she stopped eating altogether, the vet x-rayed her, and found that Libby had cancerous tumors in her abdomen. Nothing could be done to help her. Libby died peacefully on 8 August 2009. I'll miss my little baby very much!
