I was adopted from a very friendly vet's office after being rescued from the streets. Following the adoption I met my new friend Nimbus who was recovering from the terrible loss of his best buddy, Thornton, who had passed away in April 2007. My first task was to cheer him up! I think I did did a good job and ever since we spend a lot of time together. Although sometimes I find that Nimbus hides from me when he wants to nap, I'm not sure why.
You can see my cousins, Bodie and Mamie, below in my list of friends. They think they're adorable as anything, but little do they know I am cuter than a button.

In Loving Memory...:
Millie has done wonders for Nimbus, who was depressed, lethargic, and somewhat destructive after losing Thornton. Thornton passed away in our home during in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 22, 2007. He was approximately 9 months old. The cause of his passing was Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). FIP is almost impossible to diagnose or treat. Thornton spent his last day, Saturday, napping with his best friend Nimbus and myself on the bed. It had been raining for three weeks straight prior to then, and the three of us were fortunate enough to spend our last day together soaking up the rays of the afternoon sun. Thornton was a scared but very sweet cat and his character and spirit will live on forever. Our only hope is that he was happy in our home for the short time he was there, and that he passed knowing that every minute of his company was cherished. We will miss him dearly and he will never be forgotten. I am glad Thornton passed away in our home instead of on the street where he had been abandoned. He was surrounded by love and attention which is the one thing that has helped us cope. Let this be a reminder of all that we have in life and what we may be taking for granted. Whether it be your four-legged fur ball on the floor or the person sitting next to you on the couch...For more information on the subject of FIP, CLICK HERE.
