Arrival Story:
I take care of a lot of stray cats in the neighborhood. I was outside calling one of them. In response I heard this little mew. I knew it was a very young kitten from the sound. So I called again. From the bushes next door came this little tiny white kitten. I guessed around 3 weeks old. He came right to me. He was dirty and had fleas, but wanted attention. I know the feral who is probably his mother. She has very bad luck with kittens(which she produces regularly as she cannot be caught). She often scatters them around and many do not survive. Well, I brought the little tyke in and went next door to borrow some milk. I had the bottles etc. needed but no milk. He ate like a champ...thus his name. I am hoping to find him a permanent and loving home. I already have 14 cats and just can't keep him.
Meomy #2 (me) was especially taken with the little dirty face he got after eating and began to call him Smudge. So when it was figured out that he was coming to live with me, his two meomies put his two names together and came up with Champion Smudge Storm.
Bio:
Champ already seems to be growing and its been less than a week since I found him. He has had a visit to the doctor. He has a little c old, but nothing serious. Fleas are the main thing. He is too young to be treated so it will be baths to try and deal with them. He had his first bath today and that got some of them. I figure a couple more and most should be gone. As soon as he is old enough, I will treat him with Advantage. The doctor figured he was around 4 weeks or so in age. I am still giving him Kitten replacement formula for the nutriants, but he ate his first solid food yesterday(Sept. 8). He had more today and he really chows down(like a champ). He seems to be very sweet. We are working on litter box training and he does use it when he is put into it. they are too tall for him to climb into on his own. So far he has been living in the cat carrier, with lots of time out for loving. I think he is maybe big enough to be transferred to the dog crate which would give him more space and a smaller litter box to use. I figure in about 4 weeks he may be ready to go to a new home. I know I will cry when I let him go, but he deserves his own special home with lots of love, and maybe a few less cats than he would live with here.
I have found a home for this little fella. It is a matter of getting him from Ohio to Colorado, but he will have a good and very loving home there. The fancy pictures on his page are courtesy of his new mom. He also has a kitty big brother, named Simon, waiting for him. He is just about 3 or 4 months older.

I can't believe my luck.......
First I get my wonderfur furefur home in November.
Then I get soooooo spoiled for Christmas in December.
Now I am the PWKC Cat of the Week in January.
AND THEN......drum roll...... the beautifur Callie is going to be my Vawentine in February.
Can't wait to see what the wonders of March bwing!
