Oh my CAT!!!

Dudes! If you don't have a little skin buddy, you need to get one. If you have one - have you tried their food out? Oh it was just the BESTEST stuff I had ever eaten!!!!! The little skin dude was eating, and normally what he eats smells like... well, let's just say that only the doggies would want to eat what it normally smells like. But tonight it smelled yummmmmmmmmy. And, as usual, he spilled some down his front. So I snuck over to sample it, so to speak. Just to make sure mommy and daddy weren't poisoning him or anything you know, because I like to protect the little guy. Well, one lick of his shirt and I was hooked!

Oh, and the best part? the little skin brother wasn't able to finish it all, so I got what was left in the jar! Mommy called it "Turkey and Rice" - all I know is that it was sheer heaven.

I thought my mommy loved-ed me. She cuddles me and gives me any baby formula that the skin pup doesn't finish and gives me treats and canned food and (ok, I don't just love her for the food - I swear!)... And she lets me nap on her lap and plays with me with my toys and..

but, apparently she doesn't. I was alllllll cuddled up on her foot. Just a snoozing away. She was reclining in the chair, with the little boy in her lap, and I was snuggled with him, then I moved down to her foot. Well, I fell asleep, and then suddenly, out of nowhere, BAM - I'm on the floor.

Mommy claims that she forgot I was there and put here feet down and she is sooooo sorry. But I think I'm gonna milk this for a lot more cuddling before I let her know she's forgiven.

trees

You won't believe what Mommy and Daddy have done. (Well, maybe you will because Xander swears that they do this every year).

They brought a tree in from outside. No dirt or anything - hmm, wonder how the tree's supposed to live? Then, they put little tiny lights on it and, oh, the bestest part, they put all this tiny little balls on it!

I've been climbing up and down on the branches and batting off the balls. Some go crash and fall apart when they hit the floor, but other ones last real long and you can paw them all around the first floor of the house. They roll really well.

But, can any kitty explain why I get yelled out every time I drink from the bowl that the tree is sitting in?

Oh goodness, I'm sorry I've taken so long to update my diary, but I've just been having sooooo much fun here that I didn't want to stop to type!

Let's see,

Well, before I came here, I lived in a tiny little crate in the adoption center at the store. I lived there with 4 of my brothers and sisters, and 3-6 other kitties (depending on how adoptions were going that week). It was about 18 inches by 18 inches by 36 inches -- not too much room for 10 of us!

Here, I have sooooo much room to play in. Ok, so I have to share space with Xander, the skin pup, and sometimes the big doggies, but still - we can each have our own room without sharing. And by room I mean like 15 feet by 20 feet not something measured in inches. woo hoo!

Then, there's the skin pup. OMC -- I love him! He pets me and loves me and I lvoe him - even when he accidentally pulls my ears. The best part is that mommy says he and I are basically the same age (we were born just days apart), so we get to grow up together. Plus, he has just the bestest toys. I get in trouble for borrowing them, but it's worth it. :P

Oh, and the pups. the furry ones, that is. They are GREAT! I especially like Thelli - he's the big black one. Ok, so it's possible that he's literally 30 times my size, but he's so sweet to me. He's even let me sit on his back, once, while he walked around. That was FUN.

And, well, ok, then there's Xander. Mommy says that I annoy him sometimes - I don't know why she would think that though - I'm a sweetie!

Ok, time to romp - or maybe to make some more entries while I'm taking a break later. Maybe...

Coming home

Wow - today was a big day for me. I'd been staying in a cage at the store, hoping to be adopted, but everyone would pet me and put me back. Then this lady showed up, and she had one of the rescue ladies get me out of the cage, and I thought - oh no, not again. She was holding and petting two of the other kittens from the cage, then showing them to a nice guy outside the window, and I figured I was going to get put back again. Then, she had the lady keep out me and a black kitten while she went to talk with the man.

The man then came over to hold us and ooooooh, I liked him alot! The lady disappeared for a bit, and when she came back she had a whole buggy full of cat and dog food and all sorts of stuff. THe guy held me again, and they said that they wanted "this one". I didn't know who this one was, but knew that that meant - I was going back to the cage. sigh. But, apparently, while I'd thought my name was Tigger, apparently they thought it was This One. And they meant me! So I got to come home with them.

The car ride was really long, but the nice lady held me the whole time. And, they started saying the word "Nittany" over and over again. I think they've decided to rename me from This One to Nittany now. Geez, pick a name people! We got home, and there was a kitty already in the house. He's HUGE! I hope he comes to like me soon, because he's way bigger than me. But, we've played chase a few times already, and I think I'm going to like him a lot in a few days. There are also 3 doggies here, and they are even bigger than the cat. They gave me kisses and I think I could have done gymnastics in their mouths, they were so big. But they seem really friendly, so I like them already.

Well, it's been a big day, full of moving and watching football and, oh yeah - I got tuna canned cat food and milk too. I LIKE it here!!! But, I think it's bedtime for me, so I'll try to talk to y'all again later.
