Arrival Story: Autumn misses you Malley!
I never thought I would own a purebred cat but Malley came to us just because I started a conversation about cats with a customer of mine. Turns out she was a breeder and went to cat shows too.
Malley is an award winner and was also at one time a stud.
We adopted him from his breeder when he was 4 years old. The breeder basically said the cat had no more professional use so he was up for adoption. He was already neutered and had all his shots. I thought he was beautiful so I said hey why not, I'll take a purebred cat.
Bio: Malley is our 4th cat.
He turned out to be more than I bargained for. Persians are tough cats to own as far as grooming. Earlier in his life he was easy to groom, but as got older and crankier it was tougher.
He was usually shved to a lion cut twice a year. So cute!
Now that he is an old man (he'll be 16) He is having lots of health problems and hates being groomed. He has had a long life in cat years but we can tell he is starting to have some problems with bladder control and other problems. We will make him as comfortable as we can for the remainder of his life.
He's a tough cat!
