Oh!Noes an Storm!

I thinks Mother nature is playing a april fools trick on us. We woke up an an it is white out again. now it is blowing up like a blizzard. It was soo nice and worm til today. Mom and Dad were out doing yard work on the weekend. Dad almosts took his snow tire off good thing he didn't.

update on Grandpa

Mom and Dad talked to the Dr. himself on Sat. so far Mom has recieved the info from the step mother and she is not reliable or in reality.
Grandpa shattered his femur the big bonein your upper leg. he had surgey and they put a plate in it to support it. He is going to have a long slow recovery. the skin on his arm is starting to heal He fell on a small table and with his skin being so thin it peeled off his arm (quite a big chunk).
He is back in the hospital close to where we live which is good for Mom going over than mountain in the winter is hazardous.

Grandpa up date

I guess the physio didn't go so well. Grandpa is in much to much pain. He is not to stand on his legs because of the break was too bad. They will move him to another hospital for physio in a couple of days when the pain subsides.

another update

Mom phoned the hospital tosee how he was making out. He is up alert sitting up. they had just given him pain meds because get this they are going to get him up to walk. WOW! so soon . I guess the faster you get up the faster you heal.

update on Grandpa

Grandpa made it through the surgery and was recovering fine last night. Mom is going to phone over today to see how he is. Mom wants to go over but the drive is an hour over a mountain and it could be beautiful here and over there but on the mountain it could be stormy and her little car
blows around on the highway. Grandpa's recovery could be slowed by the fact he has paper thin skin some times all you have to do is touch him and he bleeds and bruises.

MY Grandpa got up to pee in the night and took a muscle cramp in his leg he fell against a table and cut his head and face. also he broke his hip the one he had the replacement on. So he is to have his surgery this morning. Will let you know how he does.

Charlie My Hero

last night Charlie started barking and barking and barking. MOm knowing animals warn people of things kicked in to high gear and ran threw the house looking for fire or some thing else. When she came across me in the kitchen trying to breath Mom did the hymlic manover like I was a small child and it worked !!! I am here today because of Charlie and Mom's quick action/ she found a small bit of kibbles on the counter so from now on all food goes in the cupboard at bed time.
