An update on Me

I am feeling a whole bunch better than I was a few days ago. I am peeing without trouble and I'm taking my meds like a good boy. I like my food even though sometimes I make Grammy give it to me on a spoon. I would really like to have some dry food but they tell me I'm not allowed. So... I get my food in the spare room by myself so the piggies I live with don't eat it. While I'm in there the rest of the house gets their wet food and access to some dry. Then after an hour or so The dry is taken up and I'm allowed back into the rest of the house til it's time to eat again. Then we do it all over. My siblings are reeeeeeeeaaallyy not happy about the dry not being out 24/7. In fact Zeeke has been a grump and has even swatted a few of my sibs. Were not sure if I'll ever be able to have dry again or even just regular wet food. We're going to reassess that after I feel better in a few weeks. I'm just gald to be feelin' better.

I'm feelin' Yucky

I went to the VETS today unexpectedly.
I started peeing blood last night, so Meowmy set me up in my own private room last night. I wasn't too thrilled being locked up by myself in the catputer room all night. I missed Grammy. But Meowmy said she needed to know if I peed overnight and with 17 other siblings that was the only way to tell who's business was in the box. I say PFFFT! So Meowmy calls the vets at 8 this morning and they said to bring me in @ 10. Then they called back around 9:15 to say bring me in early if you want. So Meowmy and Grammy put on my nifty Pooh Bear vest that Mercy's family gave me and away I went. I sang christmas carols to Meowmy on the way. Then when a Guns 'n Roses tune came on the radio I sang a rousing chorus of Welcome to the Jungle!!! too.

The girls at the vets loved all over me and were furry worried about me(I think they have the hots for me *blush*).Dr. Holland said they think the shot I got a few weeks ago for my mouth issues caused my current trouble peeing. Apparently it is a very rare side effect. Now I can not have any steroids ever, since I'm so sensitive to them. We're not sure what we'll do if my mouth gets bad again but we'll tackle that when it happens.

So for this peeing issue I have some pain meds, some cosquin for cats to help my bladder lining, some special wet food(which is furry nummy), and some special meds that has to be mailed to us to help me pee easier. I also got some sub-q fluids in the office. I also am not alowed any dry food. I sang more christmas carols on the way back & also sang along to some Metallica.

I'm resting at home in my room. Meowmy thinks I need to be seperated for at least tonite so she can make sure that I do pee. Then we'll negotiate my release tommorrow. I have had a few visiters in and out of my room. My siblings have come in to check on me on and off.

Feeling better

For those of you that don't know, I haven't been feeling too hot recently. I have stomatitis. It makes my gums and whole mouth sore. To the point of not eating. Well I went to the VETS last week and they gave me a shot. Now my mouth is pink instead of red. I'm feeling better by miles. I even ate some on my own this morning. Meowmy, Grammy and even Pappy have been force feeding me before that. I still need some encouragememnt to eat but this morning I actually wanted to eat. We had salmon fancy feast in case your wondering. It was furtastic!!! Thanks to all of you who have been purring for me and thanks to all who sent pawmails and gifties to me these last few weeks. I would have pawed this out sooner but Meowmy has been lax in writing in our diaries. It seems like she spends way too much time looking for and buying daylilies and not enough time here on catster doing things for us. So sorry for not pawing sooner.
