Attention! She also likes playing/exercising/doing Pilates, watching the birds on the roof outside our fire escape door, and "Kitty Kissers" freeze dried chicken liver treats. And of course, I am by far her favorite human.
Being alone, other cats
Laser pointer. Anything interactive.
Favorite Nap Spot:
Now that we have a new home, she is thrilled to have her own open (and steep!) staircase to perch on. She sits at least 5 or 6 steps up where she can see everything! She seems to like the office too. Her Dad can't figure that one out...
Canned tuna chunks. She also LOVES the aforementioned freeze dried chicken livers called "Kitty Kissers".
Lily will sit on command for her treats. She also imitates other animal sounds and does Pilates every day like her Mommy!
I was minding my own business at the local laundromat eating foccaccia while stuck on a crossword puzzle clue. Imagine my surprise when a tiny kitten approached me with loud mews (I think she wanted the foccaccia). She was clean (except for the large scratch across her nose that she must have picked up from some tom cat on the street) but seemed hungry so she couldn't have been on her own for more than a day or two. I asked the laundromat attendant when he got the kitten and he explained in broken english that she had simply appeared the other day and hadn't left. He urged me to keep her. I scooped her up to run across the street and purchase some kitten food which she ate out of my hand while my laundry was in spin cycle and then curled up in a furry ball on my lap to sleep.
While at the laundromat, I was able to line up a number of homes for her. I didn't think my landlord would let me keep her. Later that day, I took her to work with me (where she absolutely charmed everyone!) and then home for bed. The next day she happily woke me to the worst allergies of my life but it was too late. I was head over heels in love with her! My allergies dissappeared after a day or two and we've been inseparable ever since. Incidentally, the answer to the crossword puzzle clue that I was stuck on when she appeared was "Tiger Lily". I realized this when I finished the puzzle the next day, about 10 hours AFTER I named her.
Lily is a people cat. She loves company, especially boys. The only time she gets mad at me is when men give me more attention than they show her. She has her own boyfriend who visits her at the fire escape on warm summer nights but she hates him and tries to murder him when he comes around.
She is very athletic and makes sure to exercise every day. When we play together, she entertains me with her amazing gymnastic abilities. She flips and twirls and races around like a maniac. She can also climb the walls like in "The Matrix". She doesn't mind being groomed and she lets me trim her nails ("pet-i-cures") and brush her teeth on a regular basis. Her vet is very impressed with her excellent health and marvelous disposition. She is not a lap cat but is very affectionate and is sure to wake me with love if I've overslept.

Normally I love fish, but in this case I'm using the word "fish" as a figure of speech. Basically, something is going on in my house but I'm not quite sure what is up. There are boxes everywhere (which I love!), furniture is disappearing (which I think I love), and Mommy is running around like a maniac (which I hate). Last time this happened, we, wait! We MOVED! We moved in with Daddy! Oh no, I HATED moving!!!! Keep your tail crossed for me diary; I'll keep you posted.

What a year! My pug sister is a year and a half now. I just had my 5th birthday. Mom and Dad went out of their way to make it special for me. I got toys and treats and my favorite cat food. It was awesome. I was mostly happy to have all the attention again. My sister and i love each and play every day but she steals a lot of my attention from Mommy and Daddy. Sometimes I have to be real sneaky and wake Mom up in the middle of the night to get some snuggle time in. Once Mom was taking a nap on the couch and the pug was nowhere in sight so I made myself comfortable on Mommy's chest (just like the good ole days...) after 20 minutes of fabulous snooze time I realized that I was sleeping on the puppy's head who happened to be UNDER the blanket!!!
In other news, Mom's business is booming. She has been getting a lot of media attention. I don't understand why the newspapers aren't taking pictures of me!!!! I'm much more beautiful and the camera just loves me (see photos above...). Maybe they will come to their senses soon.
Finally, I wanted to tell you about a disturbing incident that happened yesterday. My sister, Lotus, brought her Boston Terrier friend, Kameko, over to my house. It was like a tornado!!! They went crazy; biting, running, yapping, tumbling ALL OVER MY HOUSE! I had to put my paw down when they cornered me in the bedroom so I puffed up and smacked a puppy (not sure which one...). I didn't draw any blood because I just wanted to warn them but I sure was mad! Anyway, mommy came running to rescue me and thankfully closed the door so the little monsters couldn't get in and everything went back to normal. Dogs are so uncivilized!!!

What a day! I turned 4 on Sunday and we had a party! First Lotus and I had breakfast; Mom gave me my favorite (tunafish and star kibbles). Then Mom brought out the presents. I got a catnip card, a can of fish flakes, a jar of bubbles from Lotus and an AWESOME catnip stuffed rainbow. It's the super-duper catnip too! To tell you the truth I don't remember too much else that day but I know I had fun. I want to have a birthday every day this year!
