And I got prompted by my good friend Jasper to do so! I was tagged, and hey, these questions are pretty fun to answer.
(1) DO YOU EVER WAKE YOUR PARENTS UP AT NIGHT?
Not intentionally. Sometimes, I'll walk over them to see how they are doing, though. But for the most part, I'll thwap my dad on his face while he's asleep. Gotta make sure he's still OK, ya know?
(2) DO YOU EVER TEAR UP THINGS?
Yes. My cat tree is a casualty of my, uh, addiction to shredding, MOL. I also like tearing up paper and carpets.
(3) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TREAT?
I luv Greenies, tuna, salmon, pizza...Oh, you meant "one" favorite treat, right?
(4) CAN YOU FETCH SOMETHING WHEN ASKED TO DO SO?
Never! I do things when *I* want to do them.
(5) HAVE YOU EVER LIVED ANY PLACE OTHER THAN WHERE YOU LIVE NOW?
Since I am an Army cat brat, I can say I've lived in a few places! I was born in New Jersey, and spent my first year of kittenhood there. Then my dad was posted to Ft. Hood, TX, so I was a Lone Star feline for a bit. I then lived with my meowmy in Florida while daddy was deployed to Iraq, and returned to Texas when that whole thing was done. Now, we are in Kansas, and there is BBQ here that I have yet to eat. I'm looking forward to that! :D
I won't tag anyone in particular for this round, but if you feel like playing, please jump right in!

I want to wish every cat here a very Meowy Catmas. :)
There's also word on the street that Santa will give me a momentous present very soon. Even though it will be arriving a bit late, as in after Christmas Day, it will outdo everything, even the cat toys my mom crocheted for me as my presents, MOL.
Happy Howl-idays everyfur!

My dad has arrived here in the States for 2 weeks of R&R!!!! Yay! Mom and I are so happy and excited to see him!
Dad was kinda worried that I'd forget about him, because we've been separated for 10 months now. Silly dad - I'd never forget about you! When he walked through the front door, I greeted him, and allowed him to pick me up and cuddle with me. :-)
So, it's off for more cuddling, playing and biting time with Pops for the next 14 days. See y'all around!

Rarely do my thoughts turn to what it means to be me, but when I do, I just can't get over how pawsome I am.
I'm not saying I represent perfection - only the infinite is purrfect. But I am awesome and extraordinary. And because I'm blessed with greatness, sometimes I simply don't know how to deal with that on a daily basis. To sum all this up, I'll borrow a line from Bret "the Hitman" Hart and say, "I am the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be."
And to all you cats out there, you're all pawsome too. Look at yourselves at the mirror and you will see, you are touching everyone else around you with greatness. They may not see it, but we do!

TO: Mom
CC: Dad
FROM: Pumpkin Puss aka P Squared aka P Kitty
SUBJECT: Quality of Life Improvement Measures at Casa de Pumpkin Puss
I am bringing up this subject due to recent developments that have occurred at our household - issues that have raised some concern with me and my cohorts at Catster. While I am extremely happy and content with my living arrangements at home, I have concluded that there is also room for improvement.
These are my primary areas of concern:
1. Not spending enough time on Catster. I am gently reminding you that the Internet is not all about Facebook, email, other forums and your personal blog. In addition to being Mom, you are also my personal assistant, and as such, you are responsible for regularly updating my Catster diary and other Catster-related items. A minimum of 2 hours per day on Catster is an acceptable baseline, though if you exceeded that, I would have no complaints.
2. Tuna and food supply: my recommendation here is that you feed me more tuna, in addition to salmon, pizza, and stir-fry. Also, provide me more Greenies.
3. Play-time. Again, "more" is the mantra you want to aim for. More play-time equals a happier Pumpkin.
4. Biting time. Keep in mind that while I'm a domestic short hair, I am also descended from some of the most vicious predators on this planet. Yes, I am a fierce jungle beast and I will not stop biting you, Dad, or anyone else. I understand that you feel a bit uncomfortable when I bite your ankles or your forearm, but I am what I am. Therefore, I feel that my request here is reasonable - that I continue biting you without any issues or complaints.
Thank you for reading my memo, and I expect these measures to be implemented as quickly as possible.

Mom, well-meaning human that she is, took me to the vet a few days ago to get my right eye checked out. On Monday night, it looked irritated, so the following morning she took me to that blasted institution to get me examined. Ugh! I flipped out at the vet's office, so much that they wound up having to sedate me. :( Anyways, while they looked over my eyes, they also gave me my rabies and FLV boosters because Mom didn't want me to go through sedation again next month.
I'm back to my normal self, which translates to biting Mom in the morning, and getting her to play fetch with me. But all day Wednesday, I hid underneath the bed. I was so tired and groggy, plus there was really loud thunder rolling in our part of Palm Beach County. That, I do not like much at all.
In the meantime, Mom has found new sources of amusement... As if Catster isn't enough for her? Anyway, these finds are pretty good, even if they're non-Catster. As long as they're not Facebook, too. That site is the debil.
1.) Play Him Off, Keyboard Cat - This is one of the weirdest sites Mom and I have seen in a LONG time. It's sort of a cross between Fail Blog, and... I don't know what else! You just have to see it for yourself.
2.)Wrestling Cats on YouTube - This one inspired me to continue my path to being a pro-wrestling or MMA kitty, MOL. And it's set to the Drowning Pool's "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" (BTW, I purrsonally think that was the last theme song for ECW that was good. The one they've had since last year, according to my pawrents, sucks. Wow, they're using some inappropriate language around me! :P )
Hope you guys and gals have found my latest dispatch entertaining. Til the next time!

To all of my amigos, espero que tuviera un feliz Cinco de Mayo hoy! Even if it's almost over, MOL.
It pays off to have a bilingual mom here! Especially one who returned, ahem, from her trip!

My mom/personal assistant is going to see her mom (my grandma) for a week, so I won't be on Catster for a few days. While normally I'd be pouting, whining and generally just complaining like mad about the whole deal, the trip is important. You see, my grandma has been dealing with some serious health issues for the last couple of months, and my mom wants to help her out, and just spend time with her.
I'll miss chatting and interacting with all of my fur-buddies here, but it'll only be a very brief break. And I can't wait to see y'all when I return. :-)

It's been a bit of an adjustment moving to Florida, and as many of my friends already know, my dad has been away on his deployment since January. It''s been a transition period for both me and my mom, and the rest of our family. But it's certainly been made easier by the fact that there are so many caring Catsters around here. When I first asked for purrs at the beginning of the year for my dad, we got so many of them!! We shared with dad this, and he said that he feels so uplifted and supported. :) So, keep purring away! It makes my pop happy, MOL.
On other fronts, a fellow neighborhood cat has been coming to my porch window at night. I'll write about it more in my next entry, but let's just say I'm not too happy about his presence. I gotta defend the turf that is my home and castle!
And we had a bit of crazy weather over here in south FL earlier. Lots of thunder and rain... I was hiding under the couch because that's where I felt safest. It took 2 hours for my mom to coax me out of my "I'm safe here, leave me alone!" spot.
Now I'm off to take a little cat nap, just so that I can be wide-eyed and awake for my middle-of-the-night prowls. I just may go back to batting at my mom's alarm clock at 4 in the morning today, just for kicks. :D

This is disconcerting to me, because there is only ONE SITE that matters and that is important. And if already you don't know what that site is, you need to have your head checked, MOL.
You see, my mom wasn't always an "internet" type of person - sure, she'd Google stuff up like crazy, email her family and friends and buy things online, but not much else - however, ever since she joined Facebook it has consumed her time. And that has taken away precious hours from Catster!!! What does she think she's doing?
And now.... she has become part of the Twitter community as well. *furrows brows darkly* I'm demanding I get my own Twitter account, too. This is so not fair!
