Arrival Story:
We met Merlin when we were on vacation in South Tyrol (Italy) and he lived on the neighbouring farm. They had found him as a shivering little kitten stuck in a tree some weeks earlier. My mother instantly fell in love with him when she spotted him peeking through the window, and we were allowed to take him home and smuggled him across the border.

Bio:
The next summer we spent our vacation in the same town and got a roll of film developed which included a few photos of Merlin. The woman who gave us the photos back commented that she had found a cat just like him the previous year - it turned out that apparently it was one of Merlin's brothers! Unfortunately, he was in bad shape and did not survive for long. (Merlin suffers from asthma since.) So, Merlin's origins are still a huge mystery to us, but I guess they will remain his secret...
