Arrival Story: Happy was brought into the shelter with his mom when he was a week old. His mom was unfortunately very, very ill, didn't have milk and had delivered him and his siblings prematurely.
Happy and his 7 siblings have battled Giardia and Coccidia along with the other usual bottle baby battles. He was always the “healthiest†out of the original litter of 7 and always had the most energy. He was named Happy because of his motor boat of a purr and how incredibly high strung he was. His purr was constant, we would always laugh at him joking that you only had to look in his direction to get a purr from him. Happy made it through so much, but was taken away on August 28th due to an intussusception. Over a matter of a few days he slowly slipped away. He became really weak and spent almost all of his time in his little "ward" (a cat tent with a heater, his favorite blankets and a stuffed "mom") or in my lap. Happy saw the vet on the 28th and that was when we were informed that without surgery, he wouldn't make it, and that he was too small and too weak to be put under anesthetic. He peacefully went to the bridge in my arms and I hope that he is still just as "happy" as he has always been!

Bio: Happy absolutely loved the cat tent that a good friend of mine sent. He would bounce on top of the tent, stalk the other kittens from the top and it also doubled as a bed! Whenever we couldn't find him, we knew to look in the tent. He loved his siblings and loved people. He never really had the chance to grow up, but he knew a warm lap, full tummy and most importantly.... knew that we all loved him more than anything.
