Arrival Story:
My Mom wanted a little gray cat. She looked in the paper and found a cattery that had some gray kittens. Well, the cattery was just some people who didn't take really good care of their cats. The kids scared the cats by dropping them (not on purpose) and Tanya had worms and ear mites. Our vet fixed her up, but the rest of the kits were not so fortunate...a disease went thru the "cattery" and all the cats had to be put to sleep. Tanya lived for 20 years and was rarely sick!
Bio:
Tanya was the runt of the litter and a very scared little cat. It took her 6 years to really trust us. Then she became rather brave. She was the only cat I could fly through the air really fast...and she would come back for more! She was small and gray like a mouse and we called her the Mouse or Mousie. We had a gray stuffed mouse, almost as big as she was and we would say it looked just like her...she didn't like that mouse... it was almost as if she knew what we were saying! She became a very caring little cat...my Mom had a chronic illness for quite a few years and Tanya was her "nurse." She stayed with her wherever she was...in bed, on a chair...she was always there. If my Mom had to be away for a week or a few days...she was miserable, until I realized she just needed someone to play with and a lap to sit on. Then she was much better.
