Arrival Story:
I was moving to Gainesville to start my junior year at UF. My aunt in Arcadia found a cat with a litter of four kittens in her backyard. She brought them into the garage and called my family to see if anyone wanted to adopt the kittens. I fell in love with the orange and white kitten, and brought him to Gainesville and moved in with Branden (now my husband). Branden fell in love with the kitten and now he is our very spoiled only cat.
Bio:
On Calvin's first visit to the vet, I signed him in under the name Chrissy. I found out a few minutes later that 'she' was a 'he'. I renamed him Calvin after the comic strip "Calvin and Hobbes". Later, Branden reminded me that the tiger's name was Hobbes, but the name Calvin seemed a good fit for our orange and white bundle of joy.
