My First Meezer
Such a sweetheart...May 19th 2008 2:37 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
My Suki has turned out to be such a sweetheart. He and Nemo get along so great. I have uploaded videos of them elsewhere on the web, but I will put some up here, too. Suki just loves to be in my lap. He is in my lap as I am typing this. On the 23rd of this month Suki will be nine months old. He has already passed up Nemo in size, but for some reason, I still think Nemo can hurt him when they play rough. Although, Suki does make Nemo squeal every now and then. I guess Suki can take care of himself when it comes to Nemo.
Color point change...March 27th 2008 6:30 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Well, obviously, I have been a bit lax in updating this diary. I did not come home with a lilac boy as was mentioned earlier. Suki is a chocolate point, and I love him dearly. He has become my sweet, sweet, lap kitty. Marge brought him to me on November 16, 2007. He and Nemo have become really good friends. I will try to update this on a more regular basis.
My Lilac Boy!October 22nd 2007 8:38 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I went to visit the kittens today. I posted videos of Fassie, Tim, and the babies. Fassie is such a lovebug, and Tim is very vocal. I hope Suki gets both of those traits. I chose the lilac boy to be my baby. I have another month to wait until he gets to come home to me. I am so excited. I am a Meezer mom!
Sending good vibes...September 12th 2007 5:39 am[ Leave A Comment ] Marge sent me a couple more pics to keep me updated on the babies. They were taken on 9/10/2007 and 9/11/2007. Their eyes are open and they have a little bit of color on their ears. They look so bright and alert. And they look strong and healthy. I don't know which one will end up being Suki, but one of the members of the Siamese chat group I belong to on Yahoo says that Suki already knows who I am because he can sense the love I am sending him. I love that thought. It makes me feel so wonderful and warm inside. I do believe that Suki will know who I am when I go visit them for the first time. I believe that he will come right up to me and say, "Here I am. I've been waiting for you, Mommy."
What's in a name?September 6th 2007 2:51 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I got a list of Japanese words from a friend of mine, and I decided on a name for my kitten. I am going to call him Suki. That means "beloved". Some people name their pets based on personality, but I usually already have a name picked out before I even bring my pet home. Well, ten more weeks (70 days) until I can bring Suki home!
Another day down...August 31st 2007 9:31 am[ Leave A Comment ] The days are passing slowly. I am figuring that the day I'll be able to bring my kitten home is November 16, 2007 which means as of today, I have 77 days to go. After I get back from the cruise (9/16-9/22), that following weekend, I should be able to go visit the kittens for the first time and pick one out. I haven't asked Marge about that yet. When I go do that, I can bring her the deposit on the kitten. Definitely by then, they should have their color points. It doesn't really matter which color. I'll bring home the one that wants me to bring it home. My Siamese group has been telling me to let the kitten choose me. That's what I'm gonna do!!!
They're here!!!August 30th 2007 9:44 am[ Leave A Comment ] Marge sent me an e-mail and told me that Fassie had her babies. They were born on 8/23/2007...one female (spoken for) and four males. She sent me a pic of Fassie with her babies 12 hours old. I am so excited. I don't know which one will end up being mine yet. I just wanted to get this page started so it will be ready for when I do bring my Meezer boy home. She doesn't let her kittens go until they are at least 12 weeks old. It will be a long wait.
