Arrival Story:
Cheese came to stay with us very shortly after my Charlie died, because Murabi seemed to be very lonely (Charlie was her best friend). She didn't like Cheese very much, and still doesn't, but he helped her move on after Charlie.

Bio:
Astoundingly, this beautiful little furbeast was a shelter cat. I couldn't understand how anyone could give up something so beautiful... until he chewed through three mouse cords and six telephone cords. I tried tabasco sauce, but he just licked it off like seasoning. He was always getting into trouble, so much so that he earned the nickname "Satan in Fur." He's since outgrown the bad behavior, and the closest he comes to misbehaving most days is when he bites me in the mornings if I sleep past Feeding Time. Even though he's still young, he's already used up two of his nine lives. The first was right after I got him from the shelter, when he had a severe respiratory infection, and refused to eat for a week. With the help of a friend, we managed to force-feed him enough to keep him alive. One day, he just suddenly started licking the food off of my fingers, and I don't think he's stopped eating since then. The second time was a little more subtle. He started peeing all over the house, and I thought he was just being difficult, because there were a lot of major changes going on in the household. But then one day, he went under the sofa and wouldn't come out. When I tried to touch him, he yowled and bit me. He wouldn't eat anything, even cat snax, which is completely unlike him. I had already made an appointment with the vet just for a general checkup and rabies shots, so I called and told them he needed to come in right away. We rushed him in, and it turned out he had a severe urinary tract infection. If it'd gone on even one more day, he would have died. He had to be hospitalized for several days, and had to have many follow-up visits. We found out that he has a condition that produces too many crystals in his urine, so he has to eat special food for the rest of his life. This is also why he gets his own Dixie cups. We have to encourage him to drink as much water as possible. The vet bills were huge, but I had money saved up for my wedding, so we put that towards his hospital bill. My fiance had no problem with this, thereby confirming my already solid opinion that he's definitely the right daddy for my kitties. He also has perfect hearing, uncommon for blue-eyed cats.

Ophelia is being "cute" again. Grrr! That makes me so mad! I'M the cute one! I'm the prettiest cat! I'm the smartest! Stop paying attention to her! Pet me! ME! ME! ME!

She does this stupid thing with plastic bags now that makes Mom and Dad coo all over her. Stupid Phlea. I'll chase her around and smack her later.

It's all good, though. I can force them to give me attention! I've recently begun Phase One of my Secret Kitty Plan... I've started sleeping directly ON Mom (she thinks it's cute for some reason), and I flop onto her face while she sleeps. Mwahahahaha! Let's see you ignore THAT!

Attention is mine! Rawr!

And, if all else fails, well... there's always biting.
