Moonie was rescued by a no-kill shelter after a year on the lam as a young feral. After four years living among 300 other cats at the shelter in Beacon, NY, we met! The shelter folks named her Moonbeam because of her bright, penetrating eyes.

In her 10 years with me, Moonbeam has lived in 3 different states and 11 different houses/apartments. She's had two serious bouts with cancer since moving to California in 2001, but she's got a clean bill of health now. Oh, and she has no teeth.
