Arrival Story:
Once long ago, in a galaxy far, far away known as bayshore which should experience a supernova to clean it of all its filth, I worked at a job doing computers for a company that will remain nameless. Out in the back "yard" of this company was a little place where all the neighborhood cats used to come and get fed by a guy named Rupert who worked for that company, real nice if you ask me, feeding all the kitties that had no where else to go. It was one of the coldest days of the year, right before we were going to get a blizzard and I was out back for a few minutes when Kitty (who was then affectionatley called Tigger by the employees) came walking up to me, barley more than 6 months old, covered in ice and looked up at me and said, "Meow!", which in cat language means, "Man its damn cold out here, hook me up!". When I turned to go back inside, he meowed again and I told him he couldnt come up as the boss would have my head. Cats being cats, he meowed again and walked right in and sat next to my desk and dethawed for the remaining hours of the work day. With a heavy heart I had to let him back out when it was time to go home, but I called my roomate and told him we had a rescue mission to perform....Later that night, we came back to the space behind my job and called Tigger!!!!...and there he was MEEEOOWWWW! We tried, cat carrier in hand, armed with treats to lure him into the carrier which he loathes to this day. He would not get in, but would just sit there in fear. Alerts were out on the news about the cold and that everyone should be inside, we figured this included cats so we finally scopped Kitty up into the SUV and drove off. He pretty much spent the next 48 hours freaking out in our house and then adjusted to life indoors as much as he could. He grew up during the first 6 months of his life outside and the rest indoors. Its his one goal in life to have all doors opened for him at all times and to try and escape whenever possible. To this day he has to be walked or he will just sit by the door and complain. You feed them, shelter them, take care of them and all they want to do is escape, Ive heard children are like that too, go figure.
Note: Kitty is of enormous strength and can open doors by himself if they are left open by enough to get his paw inside, beware...
