My friend Karen heard Einstein's tiny little meows one day when we were at our friend Carolyn's house. She went into the garage and found a tiny, cross-eyed bundle of fluff with crazy white whiskers and hair. He'd been stuck in the garage, away from his mama, for about eight hours -- and in the Texas heat of May. I took him home that night and nursed him back to health. I thought I'd give him away, but ... well, they say that when you name them, they're yours.

Karen also swears up and down that Einstein must be a Norwegian Forest Cat. I think he's just huge and furry.
