My Diary

My Arrival

I was born around May 15, 2002.
Someone dumped me out in the counrty when I was only a few weeks old.
I was very sick & my tail had been all mangled almost falling off.

I found this barn to hide in. It kept me out of the rain.

I started seeing these people coming into the barn.
They had 2 little dogs with them. Boy, was I afraid.
I'd go & hide.
One day they found where I was hiding. They tried touching me but I
was a litte fraidy cat. I hissed, spits & took off running.
They didn't give up on me.
I heard them say that I needed to see a vet.

That night I heard a funny noise.
The people came & left. I went wandering around to see what the noise had been.
Wow....food in a dish. There was also a box with a blanket there too!

Everyday they came to see me & bring me food. I stopped running to hide.
I still didn't wanna be picked up but they wanted to hold me.
It felt really good to be cuddle when I finally let them touch me.

They took me to this place called the vet. Those people were really nice.
I had to go to sleep for awhile, but I felt better already when I woke up.
The nice people who took me there also came & took me back home.

Both said I could stay but they weren't sure they wanted another indoor cat.
Indoor??? What is that???

Well the lady would carry me around in here coat. I got to meet her dogs, Harley & Electra.
They were nice & played gently with me.
I'd watch & see where the lady & the dogs went. I seen the dogs going in & out of this funny thing.
One night, I decided to see what was behind that funny thing.
Imagine my surprise when I went through it & there was that nice lady.
She was talking on this thing (the phone) to the man. She was laughing saying guess who just came in the doggy door?

They were calling me Bob because of my stubby tail.
I just jumped up on the couch & made myself at home.
Even the dogs came to lay with me.

It wasn't long after that they were just Mom & Dad.
I even found out I had a sister cat, Ashley that looks
just like me. She's older than me. She's my best friend.
We cuddle together all the time.

So this is how I came to live with Mom, Dad, Harley, Electra, Ashley & Squig.
I have a good life now.
