Yay!! It's my Birthday.

I am two years old today! Mommy almost forgot because she thought tomorrow was the thirteenth. Silly Mommy. But we got Fancy Feast for breakfast once she realized it's TODAY!! She's going out to Petsmart later to get me some special surprises. I heard a rumor it might be a new feather wand because that's my favorite toy ever and silly Blaze chewed half the feathers off of ours. Special Thanks to Cally Jane and her family for the pretty birthday picture complete with the crown that I soooooo deserve to wear. I am, after all, the Princess.

I am the nicest kitty sister

I am the only one Mommy trusts around Kira while she is feeling bad and wearing her cone on her head. Mommy says I am the nicest girl and that she knows I would never hurt anybody. I even washed Kira's face a little when she got home but then Mommy said not to bother her anymore and I stopped like a good big sister. So I got to sleep with Mommy and Kira last night even though everybody else had to find someplace else to sleep. At first I was suspicious and I said "mow wow wow" at the door to be let back out. But then I realized it was better to be stuck in with them than to be stuck in the hallway with everybody else so I aksed to come back and she let me. It's really just Blaze who is trouble because she's a bratty baby and she kept jumping on Kira's head. But Allie and Chelsea can be growly sometimes so you never know. The only thing I really am getting tired of is that I have to give up my warm place on Mommy's lap "because Kira needs cuddles" So I sit and squint at Mommy and show her my annoyance. Once Kira feels better, she needs to remember that Mommy's lap belongs to ME!

Where is my little sister Kira?

Mommy is really missing Kira like crazy today so we are trying to keep her happy. Kira normally snuggles with Mommy in bed in the morning before we get up so Blaze tried to fill in for that. Not the same though because Kira is nice when she cuddles. Blaze just sticks her nose or her butt right in Mommy's face. Sometimes she even tries to lick and bite Mommy's nose. Sheesh, she's a weird one! Kira normally keeps Mommy company while she takes a shower so I went in and sat on the edge of the tub between the shower curtains today just so she wouldn't be lonely. That is a very risky trick because if I slipped, I could get wet. But it went ok because I was really careful. Right now I am sitting in Mommy's lap and purring and holding onto her hand as she tries to type. She is working at home because it was too icy out so I get extra cuddle time today. We are just waiting for the doctor's office to open so we can ask how Kira did last night. Mommy called yesterday afternoon but he was in surgery with somebody else and he never called back. They would have called if there was anything new to tell us, right? I bet she is lonely at that place without Mommy and us to give her hugs. I hope they are letting her sleep away from all the barky dogs. We have our own brother dog, Max, but he doesn't bark unless he needs to so we aren't used to a lot of noise. I guess I had better get all the time I can with Mommy now because once Kira comes home Mommy will probably give her all the attention.

The Queen of the Picky Eaters

Well, I'm not sooo picky. I'm just trying to kep my girlish figure. I won't eat the treats everybody else goes crazy for. But I like the Blue Buffalo dry food mommy bought us. In fact, all the dry food we tried has been pretty tasty. Mom says this one is just the best. But I won't eat healthy wet food. Mommy tried them all, but all I want is Fancy Feast. Mom says there's too much junky stuff in that one so we can't have it all the time. Just once in a while. But today she slipped in something new. Blue Buffalo flaked tuna??? YUM!!! We ate every bite. Even me, the picky princess!! I think it's a trick because Mommy says that this one is good for us. We could have it all the time. I will have to give Mom special snuggles and purrs for finding this one. Maybe I will even keep her lap warm while she works today as a reward. And all five of us squished up against her in bed last night to keep her warm. Aren't we just the best? Well, except for Blaze. She slept too close to Mommy's head and woke her up by sneezing in her face. But she's just a silly kitten. We have to take good care of our human so she can work hard to buy us food and toys and still have enough energy to scoop all our litterboxes and play with us. We also help with the litterboxes. As soon as Mommy finishes scooping, we each pick one and use it just so she knows how much we appreciate her hard work. Well, back to my nap. Mommy says she has work to do so I can't use the computer anymore.

Still Momma's favorite

It's been a while since I have had time to write. I got over having a new sister last October. I got mad, I growled at my Mom, but she kept Chelsea anyway so I gave up anmd accepted her. And then in May, along came Dolly who I didn't mind a bit but she got sick and went to heaven. Now we have Kira. Such a little pest but I really don't mind her either. She's kind of cute because she tries to be just like me and do whatever I do. And if I ignore her, she goes and bugs somebody else so I guess she's not too much of a pain. I don't really appreciate it when I think it's time to sit on Momma's lap and Kira is already there though. But if I glare at her hard enough or sit on the cat tree and yell a bit, I get my turn too. It doesn't matter how many kitties live here, I know nobody can take my place as Momma's favorite. I'm just too special.

But I don't want a new sister

Mom has been telling me that we're getting a new baby sister. She showed me a picture on the computer today. I didn't want to look. I'm the baby!!! What do we need a new kitten for? This baby is 2 weeks old and she's not even big enough to walk yet and her fur is all white 'cause the color points haven't come in yet. I have such pretty colors and I was born that way. I am the bestest kitty. Why would anybody want one more? She has the same mama kitty as Allie and the same daddy kitty as both of us. I guess she really is our sister but I still don't want to share my Mom or her lap with one more kitty. I only have 6 more weeks to convince Mom that it's a really bad idea. I think I will go climb up the window screens again to remind her what kitties can get into. Or maybe knock over the plant stand or take the placemats off the table. And Mom says that when the baby comes I can't bite her and I can only fight with Allie. That doesn't seem fair. Allie bit me lots when I first came home. And she beat me up for a week. She would pin me down and bite until I cried for Mom. How come I don't get to be the big bad sister this time? It's my turn!!

One of Today's Picks on Diary Central!! YAY!!!

What a big honor for such a little girl! I'm not even quite 4 months old and my diary is getting special attention! I've just been trying to write about everything new that I learn and do so I won't forget about it when I'm a big girl. But Daddy didn't know about my diary until today and now he thinks my momma is crazy!! Maybe he didn't know that she lets me use the computer. I'm sure he has seen the picture of me playing with the mouse. What did he think I was doing? It's not like I thought it was a real mouse. Mommy doesn't let those in the house. I was just writing in my diary. I hope he doesn't think she's too crazy so we can still get that new kitten at Christmas. I want a baby sister so I don't have to be the littlest anymore. I need somebody to blame for everything! I mean, we all know that Allie doesn't do anything wrong. So I get accused of all sorts of things. Just because Mom caught me on the kitchen table doesn't mean I actually do that all of the time. Does it? Allie has zero talent for getting into trouble anyway. A little while ago I ran into the living room and jumped up on the coffee table to see what Mommy had to drink in her glass. Allie tried to jump up too and... splat...she fell back down. That's all right Allie. You just sit there and look pretty. Leave the fun stuff up to us experts. It has been a little chilly lately at night. So I have been sleeping as close to Mommy as I can to keep warm. Sometimes I climb right up on her and go back to sleep. She gets kinda mad when she wakes up with my butt in her face so I just PURR. Purrs cure everything. No matter what I do, I can make it all better with my purrs. (Maybe if Mom would use some mouthwash, I would snuggle her with her my face instead of my butt.) We're going to the vet tomorrow. It's for my 12 week check-up and this time I get a rabies shot. I think that means that now I get to bite anybody I want to. I can't wait!

Yay! I emptied the garbage all by myself.

Today I saw Mommy take out the garbage in the kitchen. She took the bag and went outside with it. I just knew that I could help. So I went upstairs and emptied the bathroom garbage for her. All over the floor! Surprise Mommy!!! Hmmm...she doesn't seem happy. I don't get it. See if I help her again!

Then me and Allie got brushed. Stupid Allie just lays there and purrs like she likes it or something. Mom has to hold me down if she wants to brush me. Tee hee! I'm not making it that easy.

I'm still hearing some kind of rumor about getting a new baby sister kitten at Christmastime. Mom's not sure if we need another kitten because I'm such a handful. But this kitten will have the same kitty-momma as Allie so she's hoping she will be quiet and "perfect" like the little princess Allie. C'mon, I'm the fun kid around here. Who needs another sister like miss perfect Allie making me look bad?

Gotta run. Allie is using the litterbox and I have to go watch her. And I'm climbing in. This looks like a 2 kitty project to me!

New floors for the kitties to play on

Momma got rid of all the carpets and got us these really cool hard floors to play on for the whole first level of the house. Toys will shoot across this floor for miles! Allie and I lost at least seven toys behind the furniture yesterday. It would be nice if Mom would get the stick and get them back. I don't know what she's waiting for. I only had one accident. I slid into the water bowl and it was a huge spill. But I didn't break anything. It was just really yucky because I HATE being wet. I also discovered the kitchen table yesterday. I keep trying to get up there from the chair but the placemat falls on my head and I hit the floor. But when Mom was at work today, I got up there and I scattered the Splenda packets just to let her know I had finally achieved success. She wasn't as proud as I expected her to be. She keeps saying that Allie didn't do all the bad things that I do. Allie is boring and she doesn't know how to LIVE. I like to keep Mom's life interesting. I really keep her hopping. (I'm still working on the bathroom towels and shower curtain) But for some reason she likes the fact that Allie just loves to be cuddled instead. The worst thing she does is climb on Mom's pillow and purr too loud when Mom is sleeping. I spend every minute that I am awake exploring and looking for new things to try. You're only a kitten once!
Oh yeah! I almost forgot this. There is this long furry thing behind me that won't stop following me. Every time I turn around....there it is! Mom says it's my tail but I don't know what that means. I chase it in round and round and round and I just can't catch it. I think this will be my new mission. I must catch that thing!!!

What is Mommy doing?

Every day Mommy does the wierdest thing I have ever seen. She takes a plastic bag and a little shovel and digs around in our potty. She has her own. What on earth is she doing in mine? She said that she is making it all clean for us. So I stick my head right into the doorway and help her dig. I grab her shovel and try to help her use it but I mostly use my paws. Allie doesn't help us but she likes to go right inside and use the clean potty when we finish. Then we all go downstairs and do the other one and I like to help with that one too. Today I climbed in and decided to use it while she was digging. She was kinda mad that she had to wait. But I'm still a baby and sometimes when you get the urge, ya just gotta go. All that digging inspired me. So she cleaned that up too and along came Allie to add to the fun. We used to have this scary potty that made noise and cleaned itself with a big rake but Mommy hated that one because it was never clean enough. So now we have two that me and Mommy have to clean every day. She sure is lucky that she has me to help her out.
