Arrival Story:
Edie is a 18 year old tortie and is the grandaughter of a cat my family brought back from a holiday in the Isle of Skye. She had a litter of four kittens, Rosie her daughter lived with my family and was 17 when she passed to the rainbow bridge May 08.
Bio:
Edie is a frail old lady at 18 and despite being on medication for the rest of her life for her thyroid and having very few teeth is very happy with a good appetite and a pretty active life. As we have been together so long we have a very strong bond and are very sensitive to each others needs and moods! Edie has a younger kitty housemate Sylv who she gets on pretty well with. I feel very lucky to have shared all this time with Edie, we treasure every day we have together and I never forget to let her know how much she is loved.
On the 9th of June '08 Edie was helped on her journey to the bridge. Old age had finally caught up with my beautiful girl - it was her time to go and we both knew. She was ready, her passing was peaceful and dignified and I was with her to the end. Her resting place is under the tree in my parents home with her daughter Rosie. She will never leave me, she has a special place in my heart.

Edie,
of course I have thought a lot about you this week, as I do every week. But yes more so. So many happy and funny memories. I feel sad but I smile so much when I think about you too and I know I was blessed to have you :)

First we must mention how confused Mom was when she logged into Catster! Mom thought she had logged into wrong site or it had fleas! We are not sure we like it as much :/
I got a piece of melon from an anony-mouse!!!! We are puzzled, our only suspect is a friend I picnic with? Are we close? I am off to look for more clues.
