Arrival Story:
Edie is a 18 year old tortie and is the grandaughter of a cat my family brought back from a holiday in the Isle of Skye. She had a litter of four kittens, Rosie her daughter lived with my family and was 17 when she passed to the rainbow bridge May 08.

Edie is a frail old lady at 18 and despite being on medication for the rest of her life for her thyroid and having very few teeth is very happy with a good appetite and a pretty active life. As we have been together so long we have a very strong bond and are very sensitive to each others needs and moods! Edie has a younger kitty housemate Sylv who she gets on pretty well with. I feel very lucky to have shared all this time with Edie, we treasure every day we have together and I never forget to let her know how much she is loved. On the 9th of June '08 Edie was helped on her journey to the bridge. Old age had finally caught up with my beautiful girl - it was her time to go and we both knew. She was ready, her passing was peaceful and dignified and I was with her to the end. Her resting place is under the tree in my parents home with her daughter Rosie. She will never leave me, she has a special place in my heart.

Hi this is Edie, Sylvia and Conan's Mum. I know we do not pop over to Catster as much as we used to, but we logged into day after a kind gift for Bella appeared only to read that Catster community is coming to an end! This includes our pages, which for many of us stand as memorials to our beloved pets? I am reading this right? As of the 3rd of March I will not be able to view my Edie's page or any of my cats, not able to read the lovely messages from friends we have made over the years. This is so sad. I have made friends I would like to keep in touch with and if you pawmail me we will exchange emails if we have not already.....its not the same :( How to preserve as much of my pages as I can I do not really know where to start so any tips my friends would be welcome. If anyone has though of any other ways we can keep in touch online I would love to know.

with a heavy heart I send much love to all my friends.
