Oh it is... it is Christmas!!! At least in our house it is.
As I meow my Christmas message to our Guardian the turkey is roasting and some of our human family are coming over today to visit.
My sisfur, JoJo, wrote all about the Secret Santa fun we are having and I also send my purrs of thanks to all our fur-friends.
In just a couple of days JoJo and I will be checking into our regular room at a furry special kitty boutique hotel. I purrsonally love the holidays and seeing other kitties at the hotel. I usually inspect each room by peeking through the glass window on each guest room door... Fur the most part I really like all the guests, but there is always one kitty that I will choose to hiss at... always a male.
Fur this vacation we are packing light and I plan on doing alot of bird watching, being pampered by the caretaker and staff, sleeping in and playing with my sisfur.
JoJo, myself, our brofur and famly wish all our fur-friends a furry best holiday season and happy mew year!
See mew next year... Ariel

I had the most adventurous day… well, the past few weeks have been full of exploratory efforts because we moved to our new home at the beach at the end of January.
Ever since we moved to our townhouse I’ve been curious as to what’s on the other side of the balcony wall.
Today I found out.
I leaped up and over to the neighbours balcony, which looks very much like ours! The only problem was, I was stuck there and after awhile I decided I'd rather be home.
About 45 minutes later, when my Guardian got home from her seaside walk, she noticed that when she opened the door I didn’t approach her, like I usually do… so she started to call my name. JoJo, being ever so clever, stood near the balcony door and looked anxiously back and forth.
I took the que as I heard the calling of my name and with all my strength I called out with several shrill meows. It did the trick. I was discover and was rescued. I was also told that I was naughty…. But that’s okay, afterwards I had a snack, then JoJo and I fell deep asleep on the bed.
What a great day!

Over the past two months I’ve developed a rather fun habit… speaking to my Guardians furry early in the morning!
*Proudly nods* usually around 5:30 am, I jump up onto my Guardian’s bed and tell them a good morning with my miaow mantra!
My Miaow Mantra is spectacular, it's a rhythmic chant of "Miaow!" sang at a high pitched tone!
There's also a physical technique which ALWAYS promotes a human response… the technique is simple... a kneeding of the chest or back , followed with a miaow morning message sang into human ears!
*snickers* it’s such great fun!
*shrugs* But fur some reason neither one of my Guardians seem too interested in participating… so I usually give up after five or ten minutes.
That's okay with me though, cause the Morning Chant is not something I'll be giving up any time soon... I believe it's an effective wake up tool... even though temporarily.
Miaow! Miaow! Miaow! Miaow! Miaow! Miaow! Miaow!!!!

OKAY… I have to admit that my first impression of the furminator wasn’t a positive one! Just the name of it makes me shy away, sounds like something Arnold Schwarzenegger would use… *shrugs* We have the purple version and at first I tried to bite it whenever I got the chance… my furbling just runs and hides whenever she hears “who’s next?”
Well, besides Fancy Feast, getting "Furminated" is now something that I actually look forward to! *nods* It's true… as one can never get enough attention! And I confess, I usually feel alot cooler afterwards... It's evening so now it's time for me to take a cool nap
in front of my glorious tower fan.... I think I'll set it on as high as it can go so my fur has that windblown look!!!
Oh I love summer!

As mew know, JoJo and I are both all grown up now…. One whole week has passed since we celebrated our second birthdays and so much has happened!
*ponders fur a moment*
The first big change that comes to mind was last Sunday evening…. My Guardian woke us up from our early evening cat nap to let us know “someone” was waiting fur us at the Black Cat Irish Pub! So we immediately ran right over and discovered two handsome toms waiting with gifts in paw.
My ever loving "White Knight" gave me a silver dragonfly pendant.... the sun was setting and glittered from the dragonfly's sparkling sapphire eyes! It seemed so magical and dreamy... it's such a wonderful token and a reminder of our relationship. The dragonfly represents change and Merlin told me that the dragonfly is a reminder that we are light and can reflect the light in powerful ways… *sighs* I just love that!
MOL! But there’s more!!!!
Moments after I had the beautiful dragonfly around my neck, a sparkling blue diamond was presented to my furbling as Mocha knelt down on one knee! It was at that moment that time stood still… fur just a split second…. And the next thing I knew we were all hugging, laughing and dancing! *nods* my furbling will make a lovely June 2010 bride!
Whew! as if that’s not enough, the hot afternoons continued all week long…. I've been glued to my tower fan birthday present and this morning when I woke up I just knew that today's a wonderful day.... I was right! I was selected at the Diary Pick of the Day and my wonderful fur-friend Aggie got up early and baked me a cake and decorated it with pink icing… she also picked a purrty bouqet of pink flowers and sent balloons along with furry special wishes….
*sunshine smiles* I do believe I am the luckiest gurl and now, I think I'll turn my fancy dancy tower fan up a notch to medium speed!
*Breezy wind purrs*

Everyone deserves a little TLC on their birthday and I got mine in the form of a tower fan!
Oh how glorious these warm summer days are… and what better way to celebrate a birthday by cooling down in front of my own tower fan.
Today is was so hot in our home that it made Bikram’s Yoga seem like a walk in the park....MOL MOL…. and having such a thick long coat of fur can be too much sometimes.
So here it is, my birthday and my gift arrived in a long cardboard box, which also acts as a special hiding pawlace. (We love the whole “reuse” philosophy.) So my birthday was spent relaxing idly in front of my fan, I recommend the natural wind mode at low speed.
Purrfect!

I’m a Cookies ‘N’ Cream kind of gurl… my motto: Live for the moment and treat yourself as much as you can!
Cookies and Cream is a purrfect combination just like a certain white tom and I... *forms a question mark with her tail* he knows who he is!
I’m suppose to tag six fur-friends, but since my furbling JoJo is also playing the "What Kind of Ice Cream Flavour Are You?" Game, I’ll watch along with her.
Thank mew Flora fur asking me to play, I love games and look forward to seeing all my fur-friends at the barbecue on July 3rd.
*nods* it our second birthday on the 4th of July. We are looking forward to celebrating our birthdays at the Black Cat Irish Pub on the deck!
See you there!

It’s Easter Sunday and the morning sunlight is wonderful… I take a deep breath of fresh ocean air, the tide is going out and there is an abundance of delicious morsels fur all the waterfowl who have gathered along the shoreline this morning. I’m thinking to myself, now this is what Easter is all about… The Shoreline bird watching is exceptional today, out on the sandbar there’s a huge flock of seagulls, so many I can’t keep count. Every year this seaside village has a festival to celebrate the arrival of the local stars… the Brant Geese, they are foraging and wading at the water’s edge. Oh goodness, the fishing, clam digging and oysters are all exceptional here, a seafood smorgasbord! Indeed, Easter on the beach has captured my heart and I have many tales to meow.
Happy Spring!

So here I was… at home helping my Guardian with her injured knee and the moments that happened next are still a bit of a blur.
Our special fur-friends Merlin and Mocha Latte sent my sisfur and I a present in the mail. I just know that there was a lot of fuss made when my Guardian opened the door and brought the wrapped box into the room. In moments… “poof!” JoJo was digging in and grabbing things before I knew what was going on…
This is the very first package I have ever received in the mail, and it was all very exciting! My Guardian said it was hilarious watching me and my furbling go nuts over the feathers, balls, Christmas cracker toys and mousies! I too enjoyed all of the wonderful treasures that Merlin and Mocha sent to us, but I have to admit the highlight, paws down, was the “Whisker Lickin’s” Salmon Treats. My teeth marks on the package is proof. On the back of the package is says “Make the most of the moment by giving a treat so delectable, so savory, your cat won’t want the moment to end.” Well… how did they know, cause that’s SO true, I did NOT want the moment to end…. so much so that my Guardian had to hide the salmon treats, cause I was wanting more!
So thank mew so much to my good fur-friends Merlin and Mocha Latte, you made two gurls and one wounded Guardian, very happy today. Merry Christmas.
Luv, Ariel

Dear Fur-friends,
It’s getting late, my bags are almost packed for Christmas holidays and here I am writing my very first Christmas Letter!!! (I didn’t write one last year cause I was just a little kitten and I didn’t know what to write.) So here I am, sitting by the monitor… staring at my guardian and I’m thinking to myself… “now what!”
Well, as I think about the last year there isn’t anything that I would change. I have many happy images in my mind, Catster has become a special pawlace fur me and I enjoy having so many wonderful fur-friends.
My carreer in fashion and design has taken off and I have received many requests for weddings, birthdays and of course our many travels around the world via the Black Cat Irish Pub.
I am also head over paws fur a snowy white tom. At furst Merlin was a secret admirer, he sent me lovely poetry and he quickly won me over with his roguish smile. Meow!
Other, enduring images of the year come to mind… there’s been some enduring stories in the news and so many events it’s hard fur me to keep up. Most recently, a Welsh corgi, Bailey, almost met a tragic end just outside his home at the resort village east of Regina, Saskatchewan. He was chasing geese on the lake, he broke through the ice and couldn't get out! A human managed to reach Bailey by using his aluminum fishing boat as an icebreaker, pushing it along with a pitchfork. Bailey had been in the water for more than half an hour and was rushed to the clinic... after a shower and a lukewarm IV drip, Bailey came around and has made full recovery. *clapping for joy*
My Christmas wish this year is that you will see and hear the stories of hope and joy and share them with your fur-friends.
Merry Christmas!
Love Ariel
