Bloodwork Results

I'm sorry it has taken me awhile to get back to my diary to let you cats know about the results of my bloodwork. The vet lady took a couple of days before she called me.

All my values were good for the medication I'm currently taking, so there are no changes planned right now! She also said my pee wee looked good and there is no Crystal chick or pre-Crystal chick hanging around in my bladder!

Speaking of body parts, Mawmee is having an auction for her Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this September. All proceeds go to her goal.

If you'd like to check out the items - there is lots of cat stuff - you can go here.

You get a tax break through the donation (if you win the bid), and you get something you've always wanted at the same time! Instructions are on the left side of the blog - you leave bids in the comment section.

Thanks for all the purrs - I'm doing good!

Why Did the Rabbit Cross the Road?

Today I had to go to see the vet lady. I'm not sick or anything, but I was running out of my seizure medicine, and before the vet would renew it, she wanted to see me.

I went to see the same vet lady that Violet saw for his toofie problem.

I still weigh 9 pounds, so Mawmee was happy that I haven't lost any weight.

The vet lady said she wanted to check my blood to see how the medicine is doing in my body. And when she heard that in Kentucky I had a bunch of visits from that Crystal chick, she said she wanted to check my pee too.

So, I went in the back while Mawmee waited for me. She waited and waited, and started to worry because I was back there so long.

She didn't know that when I got back there, I had to tell all the vet techs and anyone in the room that I was there to protect them from rabbits. I said I was experienced in rabbit protection, and they shouldn't be afraid. They told me that the building was currently rabbit free, so I was sent back to be with my Mawmee.

The vet tech said they had trouble getting my blood and that is why I was gone so long. I winked at the vet tech because we both knew the real reason I was gone so long!

And then you won't believe what happened on the way home! We were getting ready to turn on our street, and a rabbit ran across the road.

Well, he started to run, and then he changed his mind and started to run back to where he came from, but then he changed his mind again, and he ran back across the road. We almost hit him, but luckily he made it safely!

I'll get the bloodwork back tomorrow, and I'll let you know what they discovered!

The Charles Barkley of Cats

Daddy calls me the Charles Barkley of cats! He says this at night when I'm in bed. When I asked him why he calls me this he said:

I work to get in position, and once I'm there, I'm an immovable force!

Mawmee says she can never stretch out her legs when she sleeps because someone is always in the way.

That would be me . . . . . . Charles Barkley!

I Don't Like Spiders and Snakes . . . .

Do you remember that song?

Well, today Da Tabbies O Trout Towne have a diary entry about snakes.

I tried to leave a comment on their diary, but I got the dreaded Error 4 message.

So, I wanted to leave my comment here. This is for you, Da Tabbies.

We had a snake outside our garage the other day. Here is his picture!

The Mawmee was trying to get in her car, but she didn't want to walk by the snake because snakes are known to jump in mid air and attack women. She called for our Daddy and made him move the snake.

So he got an old litter bucket (we collect them) and tried to put the snake inside it so he could move the snake to the desert.

The snake didn't like being disturbed from his nap!

The moral of the story at our house . . . . . snakes are scary when they curl up near the garage!

No Place to Hide!

Every night Samoa gets locked in the guest room to sleep for the night. She has her own litterbox in there with her. The reason she started sleeping in the guest room was because she didn't like using the litterbox in the middle of the night if us boys had gotten it dirty. So she used to pee on a towel in front of the box.

Mawmee got tired of washing towels everyday, so this new plan was put into place. It is working good. However, sometimes in the morning, she hasn't done anything in the litterbox.

So when that happens, after breakfast, she gets locked in the cat room where the litterboxes are located. Her box gets moved back in that room every morning.

Yesterday morning her box was clean, so after breakfast Daddy locked her in the cat room. Here is where I come into the story. Daddy didn't realize I was in the cat room too.

So, when the door closed, she took one look at me and said some bad stuff. It scared me big time, so I went inside the litter robot to hide!

When Daddy opened the door about 10 minutes later, I flew out of the litter robot and ran out of the room. He and Mawmee got a big laugh out of it.

I didn't do anything in the litter robot - I just went in there to hide! Believe me, Samoa can be really scary when you're locked in a room with her!

The Laziest Cat Wins!

Over on Facebook's Catbook they are having a contest for the biggest cat potato! You can go here to find out more information on the contest.

I decided to enter because the top prize is a $150 bed, and who wouldn't want to win a big 'ole expensive bed! I'm the only one who entered the contest. It is one of those contests that isn't fair because it is based on people voting, and you know how that usually turns out.

If you'd like to check out the picture I entered, you can see it here! It is on page 42, the second row, third picture from the left. I've already gotten 3 votes - MOL!

I sure wish Catster would have their World's Coolest Contest - hopefully they will have it this year!

Update - The people at the cat contest site realized that cats couldn't even find their own entry! So, they fixed it.

Here is where you can find my picture! I don't know if you have to be on Facebook to vote, but you can see if this link works for you! Thanks ~

Three in the Bed!!

Last night at bedtime, Inky, Violet, and I were sleeping right in the middle of Mawmee's half of the bed. Daddy said he wanted to see how she was going to sleep! We were all laying on a purple afghan, and he said they should scoot it over to the middle so we could sleep between them.

Of course, Mawmee knew if they scooted the blankie, we would all get up and be disturbed. So, she laid in the bed on a diagonal! She said I didn't move a muscle the entire night, so she either had to be curled up in the fetal position, or stretched out diagonally which she didn't like.

Today, Daddy said he wanted to try an experiment. They folded the purple blankie in half, and put it in the middle of the bed. His theory is that we will only sleep on the purple blankie.

Ten minutes later, Mawmee looked at the bed, and there was Newman grooming me. Guess where we were? That's right - on Mawmee's side of the bed, NOT on the purple blankie! MOL!

Right now, Inky is on the purple blankie, and Newman and I are on Daddy's side of the bed! Samoa is out in the hall singing to her green mouse. Violet is sharing Mawmee's computer chair.

The moral to the story?

You can't train cats . . . . . . . . but you already knew that . . . .

Stallion at Seven!

Today is my birthday! I share a birthday with my first Mommy - she is celebrating her 80th birthday up at the bridge.

Everybody said happy birthday to me this morning, and I got to lick the cereal bowl . . . . I get to lick it every morning! I'm probably going to get some extra treats today, I can just tell!

Thanks to all my pals who have sent me pmails and left me nice presents - lots of yummy cupcakes, a big 'ole cake, party hats, a crown, and pies, turkey legs, and other good stuff! Talk about stuff - I'm going to be stuffed after I munch on all that goodness!

One pal even called me a stallion! Mawmee does think I'm very handsome. I've had seven years to get that way!

I'm loving living in Arizona. Every day the sun shines in the windows and we follow it around from room to room. At night it gets kind of chilly, so Inky and I like to get in bed with Mawmee and Daddy. Last night, Inky told me he was going to sleep right on Daddy's legs. And he did. I thought it was funny cause he trapped Daddy, and he couldn't move! Sometimes Violet and I will sleep butt to butt right in the middle of Mawmee's space and her legs have to curl in weird ways to find room! We just look at each other and wink!

Have a pawsome weekend, and thanks again for making my birthday special!

Flojectile Tail Tale

Yesterday morning after breakfast, Violet and I were chillaxin in the living room. The sun comes through those windows and leaves big squares of warmth which is pretty pawsome!

We were next to each other, but I had my back to Violet. Mawmee was walking down the hallway and she looked over just at the moment that Violet flojectiled breakfast. Brown stuff flew horizontally out of Violet's mouth and landed on my tail!

I thought something felt warm, and so I decided to get up and move. Mawmee was running to get a paper towel and she told me to stop moving because I was dragging flojectile all over the place.

We have fun in the mornings!

Candle on My Cake!

Today is my 4th Catster anniversary! Wowza, I've had a lot of stuff happen in those four years.

The best part is all my cool friends and how supportive you all have been during my visits from the seizure monster and that crystal chick. I'm doing good today because of all your purrs!

Another pawsome thing about my four years at Catster are all the honors I've gotten - like Cat of the Day, and the contest wins for my pirate costume, and my unique sitting style! I haven't had any diary picks this whole year, so maybe the Diary Gal will throw me a pick sometime before the end of the year!

The World's Coolest Contest will be coming up soon, so start looking through your pictures and saving the special ones you want to enter. Every year we hope that Catster would change out some of the categories and add some new ones to keep the contest exciting and fresh! Here are some of my suggestions:

Coolest Whiskers

Pawsome Paws

Most Unique Face

Inkspots - this would be any unusual markings you have on your body - like Gibbs' hearts.

Most Curious

Roadkill - this would be for the cat who is good at catching and bringing home presents. I've seen pals with mousies in their mouth - wouldn't those be pawsome entries?

I'll bet you all could come up with some good categories too. Give me some suggestions, and I'll send HQ a note with our ideas!

Check out the cake on my page - it has four candles! Take a piece and join me in my anniversary celebration!
