Diary Pick!

Wowza, do you realize I haven't been a diary pick since 2010? I wonder where the Diary Gal has been all that time - MOL!

I'm glad she picked me today, and I want to thank my pals for helping me celebrate the honor.

Daddy is in charge of us for the next few days cause Mawmee is going back to Kentucky for a wedding. We're sure glad we don't have to go back to Kentucky for the wedding. I have a lot of bunny watching to do. Every morning after breakfast, I get on the back of the chair in the family room for rabbit patrol!

Bloodwork Results

My vet lady called me today to see how my toofies were doing. I told her that I didn't get a gazillion dollars from the toof fairy like I was hoping!

She told me that the blood she stole from me last week got checked to make sure I'm not taking too much of my seizure medicine. Everything came back in the normal range, so I can keep taking the dosages of my three medicines.

Thanks again for all the purrs during my toofie cleaning. I'm back to eating good and doing my morning bunny patrol from the back of the big chair!

Missing Two Toofies!

The vet lady called and gave Mawmee an update on me.

I got stressed out when they were trying to do blood work, so they gave me a sedative first. My kidney and liver values looked good. They also took blood to send away to have my levels checked to see if I'm taking the right dosage for my seizures. I'll get those results in a few days.

I am slowly coming out of the anesthesia. She had to pull two of my toofies on the lower right side. She said another toofie on that same side had already gone through resorption.

After cleaning all the toofies, she said the rest of my mouth looks surprisingly healthy. She said sometimes when toofies go through resorption, you might have problems with others too, but so far, the rest of my toofies look good!

I'll be coming home after 3:00 p.m., and I'll have pain medicine to take. I'm a pretty good pill taker as long as it is in a pill pocket. There might be liquid medicine too.

Toofie Cleaning Today!

Hey, where am I? I didn't get my breakfast this morning and somehow I ended up at the vet's office!

I'm getting my pearly whites all sparkly today. Of course, Mawmee likes to worry because of my seizures, and she gets nervous when cats go under anesthesia. I told her I would be a good boy!

The vet lady said it looks like a couple of back toofies are missing. She is going to shine them up good and pull any that need to be pulled.

Mawmee just got a call that I'm under anesthesia and feeling good! I'll keep you all updated on how things go. I sure would appreciate a few purrs!

My Gal Pal LuLu is an Angel

I was very sad to hear that my good friendgirl, LuLu, became an angel today.

LuLu was sweet 16, and I think she was sweet every year that she was alive. We had some good times on Catster, and I'm going to miss her very much. She lived a long time with her Mommy, and I know both she and Diego will be very sad to not have LuLu around.

Rest in peace, my beautiful friend. I know Calvin and all the angels are taking good care of you tonight.

When a Kiss is Bad!

Last night we were all getting ready for bed. Mawmee came back in the kitchen to do something, and there I was . . . . . sitting with something shiny between my paws.

She came over and asked me what I was doing. I told her I was licking the chocolate kiss that was unwrapped that someone threw down off the counter to me.

She immediately picked it up and said that kind of kiss wasn't good for me. Luckily, no cat ate any of it but somecat unwrapped part of it and there were plenty of licks on it!

She took the little bowl that was on the counter and put it in the pantry. I didn't get in trouble because she knew I didn't get on the counter and paw that candy out of the bowl.

I'm not telling who did it, but his name begins with . . . . I'd like to buy a vowel . . . . . .

219 Plus Me!

There are 220 cats celebrating a birthday today, and I'm one of them! I'm eight and I hear that eight is great, so bring it on!

I've already had so many pawsome friends stop by to send me birthday greetings. We've been having a chicken party the past couple of nights, and I heard I might even get some Tiki to day to celebrate my birthday!

This day was chosen as my birthday because my first Mommy had this day as her birthday too. So, I'm remembering her on this special day. The sun is shining, and I found a sun puddle in the living room, so being eight is pretty great!

Pony Rides?

Somewhere in the past week I turned into a pony. I have no idea how it happened, but Inky gets on my back and starts yelling, Giddyup!

When I just sit there, he bites the back of my neck to try to get me to gallop around the room! But, I don't move. If he wants a pony ride, he is going to have to pay for it!

The Closed Door!

A couple of times each day, Violet goes in the laundry room. We don't know what is going on in there, but it sounds like he is getting tortured cause he cries loudly.

So, we all rush over to the door. Some of us stick our paws under the door, and most of the time, someone is jumping on me and wrestling with me!

I let Mawmee know what is going on because I start making noises too. It's my get-off-my-back wrestling noise! Sometimes when Mawmee opens the door, Inky will be riding me like a pony!

Speaking of wrestling, Violet told me he knows all the wrestle moves and uses them when he goes in the laundry room. He said he hasn't had to resort to biting yet, but it is getting more difficult to wrestle because the Mawmee is trying so many different holds!

Seizure Monsterette

A mini-monster showed up today and possessed me. It happened three times.

The first time I was on the bed while Mawmee was on the computer. She heard hissing, and turned around to see me in the room but no other cat was around. I had already stopped hissing.

The second time happened while I was eating a late lunch. All of a sudden, I started hissing like I saw something. Then I started growling. I've never growled before when the Seizure Monster visits. It was scary, but not as seizury as in the past. Yep, seizury is new word!

The third time happened while I was on the sofa sitting next to Mawmee and Daddy. I started hissing and then it turned to growling. I think I see something scary in my brain, and I hiss and growl to get rid of it.

Nothing has changed as far as my medicine or food, so I'm not sure why this is happening, but we sure hope it doesn't happen tomorrow!
