Likes:
Cleo enjoys catnip and sleep more than most anything else in the world. She also has a preferrence for fine seafoods, popcorn (but only the buttered pieces), and her beloved IAms. Cleo is a great fan of public television. She especially enjoys BBC news

Pet-Peeves:
Cleo has no patience for other cats, dislikes it immensely when Ken cleans his nails on her fangs or when Amanda sticks a sock over her head in the name of sadistic amusement. Actually, Cleo dislikes most everything that is not heat, food, or sleep.

Favorite Toy:
Amanda

Favorite Nap Spot:
Cleo loves to sleep in her leopard skin-printed plush bed (with a zip-pocket in which many kilos of catnip can be placed).

Favorite Food:
It's usually whatever it is you happen to be eating, but Cleo also enjoys when Ken and Amanda fillet fish and feed her scraps.

Skills:
Cleo can go for over a day without moving from one spot to another. I have witnessed it.

Arrival Story:
Amanda wanted a calico and asked her dog's veterinarian to keep his eyes opened for a calico kitten. Linda thought this attempt to quench Amanda's desire for cat ownership would never result in actually gaining another pet. Several months went by with no adoptee located. One overcast August day, Dr. Pete and his daughter, Hannah, showed up at Linda, Ken, and Amanda's door with a tiny calico kitten that Hannah had found at a farm. At this point, Linda and Ken were practically forced into letting Amanda keep the kitty. To send the creature back would break Amanda's heart, an act which the parents of only children are unofficially banned from. Amanda named the kitty "Cleopatra" because she thought the black spots on its head looked Egyptian and Amanda was in the midst of her "Historic Heroines" obsession. If it were a month later, Cleo would have been a Catherine.

Bio:
The first 3-5 years of Cleo's life were spent destroying household items/clothing/etc. Cleo has destroyed shoes, a swimsuit, many carpets, the headboard of a bed, an antique doll, and Amanda's pet tree frog (Spot). Cleo used to enjoy the act of hunting, even though she possesses no claws. Through the years, Cleo has mellowed considerably. She is now a fat furry thing that makes little wheezing-snore noises in her sleep, and her favourite hobby is wall-staring.
