Arrival Story:
His feral mom brought him to live in our barn with his brother Willie. Tigger and Willie were susposed to be adopted and move to the beach. But the person only wanted one cat and not both. The adoptor ended up adopting another cat before taking Tigger or Willie. Tigger decided he no longer wanted to live in a barn and decided to adopt a family and move inside for the comforts of home. His brother Willie loves the outdoors and remains feral but friendly. Tigger visits and plays with his brother almost everyday as they explore the family farm together. Tigger is very spoiled and continues to learn from his adopted brother Dee.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday for Tiggers, Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay for Tigger!

I have been very busy lately. I had to go to the v.e.t. last week. I have a cyst but I am ok. Nothing bad just an infection. I have to take medicine twice a day for a couple of weeks and will then be good as new. I don't like the v.e.t. There were a lot of d.o.g.s. there and they were making a lot of noise that scared Tiggy. I did get to briefly go to work with Mommy though, but just until Daddy could come get me. That was different and fun. I was a good boy. All her co-workers remarked about how adorable I am. Well duh!!!! :)

Anyway, I have been on restriction lately from going outside. I keep running away from my people. Don't they understand that when I am ready to come inside then I will, but if I don't want to come in yet then I won't. It's ok some of the time to be inside all day. My medicine kind of makes me sleepy. But my people need to realize that it is all about Tigger and not them. They are just being mean to me. I should be able to do what I want when I want.

Some Random Tigger thoughts

I have been so busy that I just found the time to write. It is like that for Tiggers like me. You just get so busy with all the sleeping, eating, playing and the occasional tree climb. It has been cold and/or windy so much lately that I haven’t been able to go outside and enjoy it like I want to. I really need to discuss this issue with my people. They should be able to make it bright and sunny outside for Tiggers when Tigger wants to go outside. I don’t see why it is so difficult. I mean why do they think I keep them around after all. I keep them around to cater to my every whim and no other reason.

Just the other night I wanted to go outside but neither my mommy or daddy would let me go outside. I kept putting my paws on the dead bolt and the door knob but just could not make it work. My people must have done something tricky with it cause I know that is how it works. They just didn’t want Tiggy to be able to go outside. I really need to talk to them about this.

Anywho, the Giants won the Super Bowl and this makes Tigger very happy! I am a huge Giants fan and a big fan of Eli Manning.

Musings of Tigger

So the other day my people came home with an early Christmas present for me (well and my siblings). We got a new cat condo. Tiggy really likes the new one. I really think mommy and daddy got it just for me. Not that I am a selfish kitty or anything but I really like it and the others just think it is ok, so it has to be for me. I still can’t get to that darn stocking though. I need to figure out a way to climb up the china cabinet.

Anywho. Why in the world does it have to be so cold out ALL the doors? I just don’t get it. We have three doors – why must it be cold out all of them. It’s like rain…why does it have to rain outside all of the doors at the same time. One is fine, but all three? I go to the front door and it is cold, then I go to the back door and it is cold and then I go to the laundry room door and it is cold out that door too. I just don’t get it. I just want one door that it is warm and sunny out for a Tigger. I am not allowed to stay out late or when it gets dark – cause when the streetlights come on Tiggy must be home. At least that is what my people tell me. I don’t really like being out at night anyway. Too many scary things out there and you can’t find a good comfy place to sleep. I like to come in and eat and perhaps watch a bit of TV and then go to bed. But, back to my original thought about those doors. Is it really too much to ask for it to be nice out at least one of the doors? I don’t think so. I don’t really like it when it is cold or rainy outside. We live on a farm so there are a lot of great trees to climb and places in the woods to run around and have fun and I can’t do that if it is cold or rainy out.

I have been working on my Christmas list and the only thing I want – besides it to be nice out of at least one door when Tigger wants to go outside – is my sweet sister Sammie back. I still miss her a lot. I know Dee does too. Tony and Cocoa would love her so much. Just like we do. I keep thinking I will see her out in the woods one day and I will show her how to get home. My mommy and daddy still miss her a lot too. We just want her to home. No cat should be left homeless. Even our pauper cats (ferals) have a home. Mommy and Daddy feed them twice a day – every day – and give them water and bought them a cat igloo and put warm blankets in it and have put hay and warm blankets in a trailer for them to sleep and be warm. They even get toys! I just don’t like for cats to be without a home. People can’t throw cats away like we are trash. We are special and wonderful with great purrsonalities, but some mean people throw us away or just abandon us when they don’t want us anymore. I just will never understand that. My people take care of us and love us and would do anything for us so I don’t understand why anyone would do that to someone like me. I have feelings and those beautiful abandoned animals do too. This upsets Tiggy very much when people do this. My people have taken in so many and gotten them adopted. Those that can’t be touched and aren’t adoptable have been fixed so they can’t make anymore babies– with my people footing the v.e.t. bill - but they have a home and names and are taken care of and loved. I can’t imagine my pretty, sweet, little Sammie being out there and not thinking she is loved or wanted just because some mean, nasty, evil person broke into our home. She did not deserve that and my people did not deserve to be without her when all they ever did was love her and quite frankly neither did Tiggy and Dee. We did nothing wrong – we were minding our own business in our own home! Look at Sammie’s page for the story.

So in addition to my Christmas wish that my sweet sister Sammie come home is that all cats and kittens get loving homes where they are loved and cherished like we should be.

I will get off my soapbox now. Merry Catmas to all and I hope Kitty Claus gives you exactly what you wish for.

Purrs and nose rubs.
Tigger
