Likes: He loved being warm & napping against my side in his little knit pouch. Pet-Peeves: He hated not being held. Favorite Toy: Toby was a bit too small & weak for toys, but he would bat at his knit pouch on occasion. Favorite Nap Spot: In his pouch, next to his Momma's belly. Favorite Food: The poor angel didn't eat much while he was here with us. Skills: He stole my heart in a matter of days. Arrival Story: A friend of mine found four kittens crying underneath her front porch (on the day of her thesis defense, no less). They had apparently been abandoned by their mother & were beginning to drown in the rainwater that was seeping into their hole. She & her roommates rescued them & brought them into the apartment for drying & warming. When she shared the story in our Fiction Writing class, I immediately wanted one. Upon arriving at her house later that day, I fell in love with the sole orange tabby - Tobias.
Though he left us a short time later despite a vet visit (as did all his brothers & sisters), Toby will always hold a very special place in my heart. He was truly an angel & I will never forget him.
