Arrival Story:
My mom had seen a grey cat at a pet store, and we planned on getting him for her for mother's day. We went to buy him, and they wouldn't sell him, because he was on hold for some little girl. My mom was upset, so we found some farm that was offering free cats, so we went and let her pick one out. My step dad's arm was in a sling at the time, and he brought Ziggy home by carrying him in his sling.

Bio:
I actually picked out his name, although he was my mom's cat. To have a theme with Rasta, we were thinking of Irie, but it didn't seem to fit. We had laid newspaper around the litter box, and I noticed the Ziggy comic, and thought of Ziggy Marley..... and thus the cat was named. Rasta wasn't very fond of Ziggy at first, but he got over that quickly, and they became inseperable. Ziggy followed Rasta everywhere he went. Last March we noticed he wasn't acting like himself, and realized he had a Urinary Tract Infection... it was too far along, and he was in a lot of pain... he would growl like a mountain lion if anyone, even Rasta got near him. We took him to the vet and had him put to sleep on March 11, 2004.
