Cricket was sprung from the city pound just in time by "Jackson Friends of the City Shelter," vetted and fostered until she was old enough to be taken to the PetsMart adoption center on July 6, 2002, where we adopted her the same day. Me, Mom, her sister Kathy and her daughter Megan, had gone shopping for cat food. While Mom was talking to someone at the front of the store, we went to take a peek at the pets up for adoption and there she was. She was sitting in a litter box by herself while her cagemates were busy playing. We asked to hold her and she hasn't stopped purring since the moment we picked her up. She curled up in my purse and fell asleep, so we decided she just had to go home with us.    

Bio:
Cricket was the ultimate beauty queen, but then she got the big head and turned into a diva. Despite her tortitude, she had a successful show career... Many "Best in Show" awards TICA Supreme Grand Master (2003) TICA Lifetime Achievement Award (2004) TICA Southeast Region's Household Pet Kitten of the Year (2003) (holds the record for highest scoring HHPK in the Southeast) TICA Southeast Region's 11th Best Household Pet (2003) TICA's International 3rd Best Household Pet Kitten (2003) TICA Southeast Region's 16th Best Household Pet (2004)
