This year we joined in on the Secret Santa at the Pen Paws group and in the process made some special new fur-friends.

Two weeks ago we received a package delivered by “Royal Mail” and inside were some furry special treats sent by some furry kind fur-friends in the U.K. Alfie and his fur-family thought the feather ball and catnip mousies would help me feel better. They also sent a cute RSPCA kitty and she now hangs on our carrier… making trips to the vet much nicer.

We were a Secret Santa to a furry nice family in Fargo, ND. Our brother who lives at the rainbow bridge instantly became fur-friends with Quinn C and well, we are looking furward to seeing more of Nikkos and Ginny.

We also received a package from Fort Smith Arizona and after much anticipation, we opened the parcel this morning. We were so thrilled to find out that our Secret Santa made a donation to the BC SPCA. They also sent some neat things fur our guardian to use like kitty clips, kitty memo pad, pens, key chain and Catnip! Our great big heartfelt thanks to Marina and Tosca.

Ariel & I will be leaving fur our vacation in a couple of days…. So fur now, we wish all of our international and American fur-friends a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful Mew Year!

Holiday purrs, JoJo

First Class

Well, it's been some time now that Ariel and I outgrew the cramped kitty travel bag. Today was different, we were upgraded to First Class Passengers and now have our furry own Intermediate sized Kennel Cab - in Olive Green.

*nods happily* We were given a "welcome-aboard" treat and discovered that we have just enough paw, tail and ear room fur the two of us. The new travel quarters came complete with a fancy green Glow in the Dark fleece blanket, which kind of got crumpled up into the corner, but it was a nice touch.

We embarked on a journey through the country side to meet our new Vet. *courageous smiles* Dr. Dolphin was furry nice. He looked at my eye and did another stain test. What I have is a condition called Feline Eeosinophilic Keratitis “FEK.” It’s a common corneal disease fur us Ragdolls. The bad mews is I will have it fur the rest of my life, but the good mews is I am now getting a different eye treatment, a topical steroid. We are hoping that this new treatment helps, but the best mews is that I won’t need to have surgery!

My sisfur is in good health so she got her annual vaccination and is now sleeping it off on our Guardian's bed.

It was an exciting day and I'm looking furward to the next road trip. Until my next visit in a couple of weeks, this is JoJo, over and out.

Corneal ulcerations... go away!

Well I’ve had a strange thing happen with my eyes and it’s been three days since I was diagnosed with corneal ulcerations.

My left eye isn’t furry good, it has tissue on it and I had excessive watering. On Tuesday my Guardian rushed me over to the clinic and they did a Fluorescein staining which made the ulcerated areas become bright green. The vet purrscribed an ointment that goes into my eye, and my Guardian puts it on my eye at least twice a day. *modest smiles* the vet said I was a furry good patient cause I don’t make any fuss.... meow or bite.

Next week I get to meet our new vet, Dr. Dolphin. I know, he has a curious name, but I am sure he is a human! My Guardian will talk to him about seeing a specialist, everyone is hoping that surgery won’t be necessary, but there is a possibility.

We will wait and see... In the meantime, thanks to my fur-friends fur the healing wishes and support. It means a lot to me to have such wonderful furs who care.

A Moment to Remember

Early this morning, Ariel and I sat at our floor to ceiling window and watched as all the humans stood along the street waving Canadian flags while the sun rose.

I wondered to myself "what could these people all dressed in red and white be cheering about?"

Around 6:50am a festive vehicle went by playing lively music and an energetic dancer waved at me as it drove by… then what followed was a human slowly jogging along the road, lights were flashing and the gathering cheered as she held the 2010 Olympic torch high in the air.

Afterwards, Ariel and I were picked up by our Guardians and together we watched the early morning sun over the ocean and watched all those humans walk behind the torch. We were told that the Olympics are here and this is a moment to remember…

Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm- sixty-four?

Today I learned something furry interesting…. I learned that in human years I’m 24 years old, yet I’m only 2 years old in cat years!

On average I sleep twice as much as a human does within 24 hours… so I’m thinking *pulls out a calculator* by the time I am nine years old I would have slept for a total of three years!!!

So my fur-friends do mew know how old mew are? Here’s how us cats age. Cat years vs Human years.

6 months = 10 years
8 months = 13 years
1 year = 15 years
2 years = 24 years
4 years = 32 years
6 years = 40 years
8 years = 48 years
10 years = 56 years
12 years = 64 years
14 years = 72 years
16 years = 80 years
18 years = 88 years
20 years = 96 years
21 years = 100 years

After writing in my diary on Sunday, just hours later I got the biggest surprise in my life!

Ariel and I dashed over to the Black Cat Irish Pub once we heard Merlin and my handsome Latte were there waiting fur us…. with Birthday presents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Within moments of my arrival, Mocha was kneeling down in front of me and he looked at me with those gorgeous sparkling blue eyes that always mesmerizes me… and within moments the most dazzling blue diamond engagement ring I have ever seen was in his paws!

Mocha asked me if I would do the honor of hitchin my star with his!

*giddy giggles and smiles*

What Mocha meant was would I think about one day getting married!

We both took deep breaths and I agreed that I would give my paw to him one day and together we will go through whatever life offers.

We are both furry happy and fur always I will be a Latte and we are the bestest of fur-friends, all thanks to our Unkle Theo… who graciously accepted my application to date his nephew; (I was just a little gurl kitten at the time) Ever since, Mocha’s charm has won me over and we always have so much fun together.

This is definitely the Summer of Love – 2009!

Luv, JoJo

Today is Independence Day and it’s also my birthday! (Ariel’s too!)

A few days ago Ariel and I found out that we were chosen as Meezer Junctions Engineers of the Month fur July… that makes us Queen of the Tracks, and we are looking forward to taking our Meezer fur-friends on a train ride somewhere soon.

Today I’d like to express my thanks to many fur-friends who took the time to stop by and wish us a happy birthday:

Jingle Bell (“Auntie”), Nutmeg, Cinnamon and Harmony are all furry sweet gurls. Naturally they sent both Ariel and I a delicious cup cake! Yummers!

Cathy, my fur-friend from the UK.... at the moment she’s sailing Spanish waters on her honeymoon and somehow found the time to stop by and leave a cup cake… *sugary smiles*

Humphrey Lee Haunted, Roger Bleu, Greta and their mom, they are furry special fur-friends and were so thoughtful in making a special picture of Ariel and I.

Chai, Little Bit and Sugarare furry good fur-friends… we got to join in on their barbecue and try a scrumptious hot dog with all the fixings!

Flora Cat is a good fur-friend and a client at Sweet Beginnings… she’s going to be a beautiful bride and gave us both a pawty hat!

The Chicago Gang stopped by with all sorts of birthday wishes and a pawty hat, I'm so glad to be a part of this spirited group of fur-friends from the windy city!

Mocha Latte, my charming prince and the luv of my life, sent me a bouquet of balloons, he makes two way more fun than being one! *wide eyed grins*

Ralphie, Maggie, Aggie, Claw and Sedoso are so much fun to be around. I'm enjoying wurking with Aggie & Maggie at Sweet Beginnings, as wedding consultants... They have a nose fur flowers and gave me a furry purrty red rose!

Sheba has the same birthday as me and Ariel.... I'm so happy that she's my newest fur-friend... she sent me quiet firewurks to celebrate being two, our fur-friendship is off to an excellent start!?

Thank mew to all our fur-friends, you are all wonderful... the best gift I ever received is your friendships, and fur that I'm furry grateful.

Happy 4th of July hugs and purrs to you all!

What Kind Of Ice Cream Do I Look Like Tag Game

I was tagged by my angel fur-friend Greta to join in on the “What Kind of Ice Cream Do I Look Like Tag Game!” soooo, I gave this some thought and invented my furry own flavour....

"Vanilla Mocha Swirl!"

Vanila ice cream is a classic and represents loyalty and likeability... *giggles* and the Mocha Swirl component represents two things:

1. My chocolate mask and markings on my ears, tail and back... and the marking under my right rear paw...

2. Mocha is the one and only, furry handsome, young tom who has captured my heart…. he's furry sweet.

Vanilla Mocha Swirl is flirtatious, lively, fun, and indulgent all in one ice cream flavour....

OK... as part of this game, I’m tagging six fur-friends and asking them to play the “What Kind of Ice Cream Do I Look Like Tag Game” and they are:
1. Mocha Latte
2. Jingle Bell
3. Winnie the Pooh
4. Humphrey Lee Haunted
5. Unkle Theo
6. Maggie

Luv,
Vanilla Mocha Swirl with sprinkles on top!

It's a Ferrero World

Ferrero Rocher gold wrapped chocolate balls are now a big part of my world.

Luckily, my human brother gave my Guardians a box of individually wrapped chocolates this Christmas. I cannot meow how much joy I had whenever I heard the foil crinkle as the chocolate ball slowly was revealed. My guardians always roll up the crunchy sounding paper and gold foil and make a ball for me to play a couple of rounds of fetch. But last night I took things to a whole new level!

My guardian dad unwrapped the very last golden Ferrero from the box. As usual, I happily played with the paper and foil ball, but I decided that my guardian really didn’t need the ball that comes inside of the paper! So… when he wasn’t looking I took it!

*sugary smile* and then I carried the Ferroro away!

Soon after I pinched the Ferrero, my Guardian discovered the wonderful dark Ferroro Ball sitting in my bowl. I was very proud and wanted to save the Ferrero fur future playtimes, so there it was waiting peacefully in my dish.

Sadly, my Ferrero disappeared within moments, before I knew what was happening all the tiny chocolate chips that were sprinkled in my bowl were gone too…

Fortunately, I never ate any of my Ferrero. I was told in a firm but loving voice that that chocolate is harmful and no good fur me, go figure, but they sure are fun to play with!!!!!!

Magical Moments Continue

Yesterday I wrote in my Christmas Letter about magical moments that stood out for me over the year. Well, today, I would like to share with you a very special and tender, magical moment. I spent my morning in the usual way, lounging inside where it’s nice and warm. I had a brisk run in the snow outside on the balcony and got my fur all wet. My guardian had some errands to do and ended up walking to and from the market, the bad thing about snow is it’s slippery. She fell, twice – and ended up hurting her knee. So here we were, a few hours later, all of us relaxing and I was trying my best to help my Guardian feel better , when there was a sharp knock at the door… and guess what was waiting for Ariel and I!!!! A package all the way from Romeoville, Illinois!!!!!

Well, you should have seen and heard what happened next! There was gleeful laughter, fierce meowing and some furious present grabbing going on. I got so excited, that within moments I stole a feathery toy out of Ariel’s stocking and proceeded to bite, toss, and kick it until my Guardian interrupted the intense playing by telling me…. “JoJo, that feathered toy is Ariel’s!” There it was… I reached my paws out and grabbed the stocking with the letters “JoJo” printed neatly on the trim…. So I took hold of the stocking and pulled out my very own blue feathery toy. I proceeded to kick, nibble, and throw , you should have seen that toy fly……... What a scene!

When I thought things couldn’t get any better, a handful of Salmon treats were opened and something very special happened, indeed. Ariel and I went wild over these treats… they are seriously good. I for one am making sure that those treats come with us on our vacation, too delicious not to.

Mocha Latte, thank mew to you and Merlin fur sending my furbling and I such a wonderful surprise, the timing couldn’t have been any better… my Guardian forgot all about her silly knee and I am very thankful that you gave us a delicious and magical moment. You’re a wonderful fur-friend and really appreciate everything you do. Merry Christmas!

Luv, JoJo
