Arrival Story: Ceylon was the first kitten my husband and I adopted when we moved to New Mexico. She was at the Animal Humane Association of NM, and I went down there just to look. She was all alone in her cage, and was TINY! They had named her "Faustine", but when we adopted her my husband named her Ceylon because of her beautiful, big, blue sapphire colored eyes. The name fits her purrfectly! I brought her home in a cardboard box, and when I brought her into our apartment, she jumped out, found "Dad" (who was sitting on the floor), and jumped up on his shoulders and fell fast asleep!

Bio: We call her the "perfect kitty", and that's how we ended up with FOUR more cats! We thought they all would be like her - NOT! Ceylon is quiet, regal and a real princess, but not in a snobby way. She's just a princess, and that's all there is to it. She loves Petromalt, and loves to get her belly rubbed. She is very sensitive, especially physically, and gets stressed and sick easily. When we go on vacation, she is usually depressed by the time we get back, and has "goopy" eyes. We can "see" all her emotions very easily on her face, and can tell when she is down, or extremely happy. She wanted to be the only cat, but we didn't know that. When she was about 2 years old, we thought she was depressed, being alone all the time, so we adopted Jasper, thinking they would "bond".
HA! He terrorized her from the get go, chasing her around the house, jumping on her, and basically being a boy kitten. So...she DOES NOT LIKE HIM!...to this day, they are not friendly. Then we got some MORE cats...and she doesn't care for any of them. She likes being left alone. Who would of thought?

What an auspicious event that is about to take place in two weeks. I was adopted on December 21, 1997. This December 21st is the 1) the Winter Solstice, 2) a full moon AND 3)a total lunar eclipse! WHOA! All just for lil' old me..tee-hee...I AM FLATTERED! But being a princess, I am used to this royal treatment from the universe...and I am worth it!
I just turned 13 this October, and mom still says that "I AM A PERFECT KITTY!" PURR...PURR...PURRR...PURRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
WHAT A SYNCHRONOUS, CELESTIAL SYNTHESIS OF FELICITY TO CELEBRATE!!!!
Don't you think!
So friends, come to my page on December 21st to say hello, and happy Winter Solstice. I will be lighting a candle to celebrate the solstice, and will light one for you and send it your way!

Well, I am back home from the vet, and I had 4 TEETH PULLED! All of them on my left side. I was very woozy when mom got me home and was wobbling all around the house...I just couldn't sit still. Mom gave me some watered down tuna, and I ate it right up. I was very hungry since I had not eaten since 8pm. on Thursday night. Then mom put more canned cat food out, and I ate a ton of that. Mom was afraid I might throw up since I was eating like crazy so she picked up the food. But I didn't throw up! Yay! Today I am still under the weather and have been hanging out mostly under the bed. I think I now have a cold on top of everything else! My nose and eyes are running, but I am still on antibiotics for at least a week, so hopefully I will get over that! Thank you all friends for all your purring and support! It means the world to me! Please keep me in your purrs.

I have to go back to the vet tomorrow for some tooth extractions and a urine analysis. Please purr for me. This is a new vet, and mom is a little nervous about how every thing will go.
