Arrival Story:
Our beloved chocolate lab, Ghi, brought Garfield to our door in her mouth. Garfield was at the most 4 weeks old, and didn't know how to eat, drink, or use the bathroom on his own. I found his mother and siblings outside under our shed and desperately tried to return Garfield to his "normal" world. BUT NO, he wasn't having it -- he followed Ghi around the driveway, until I had no other choice but to "mother" him. Ghi is a wonderful "surrogate" mom and we worked hard to care for Garfield in those early days.

Sometimes my mom won't leave me alone, I wish she would just let me sleep. But NOOOOO, she has to come find me to give me a (GASP) BATH!!!

Yes, she insists on giving me a bath regularly....I'm a CAT, darn it, I bath MYSELF! But she says that she's getting "the buggies" off of me. Well, I can do that with my tongue, however, it's not good enough for her.

And my EARS, good grief, she has to put these long sticks in my ears, says she cleaning them. I try to hide these sticks she call's "kitty Q-tips" but she finds them every time.

I'm miserable on "Bath Day". The only enjoyment I get on that day is knowing that Ghirardelli also gets a bath. But for some ungodly reason, she doesn't seem to mind the water!
