Arrival Story:
I adopted Jaycie from the Kansas Humane Society. I thought I wanted a golden colored cat & I was holding out and went back down to KHS and a friend went with me and somehow I noticed Jaycie; as in the shelter environment many black cats get looked over, as do the black dogs. I took Jaycie through the puppy room and there was lots of barking & noises going on and she was very calm and didn't seem to be bothered. I adopted her that day. She was approximately 3 months of age and had been a stray. Jaycie was & is my first cat. What a trip! :)
