Quick Bio:

Buckwheat liked anything stinky and feathers on a stick, throwing up on the furniture! Spanky likes catnip.

Buckwheat did not like his scottie sister Butterfly McQueen! Spanky didn't like my old boyfriend...wish I'd listened to her! She turns fishwife if I try to trim the hair on her hiney!

Favorite Toy:
Buckwheat loved feathers on a stick...could make her dance!

Favorite Nap Spot:
On the top of the sofa!

Favorite Food:
Anything! Sneaking Bones' food!

Spanky is a nursie. When we moved into our house, Bones couldn't walk on the wood floors and would hide on the scrap of carpet in the hall and cry. Spanky would go groom and comfort him! Buckwheat could always be counted on to make trouble!

Arrival Story:
After my 16 year old orange cat passed, I got Spanky & Buckwheat from a cat rescue group. Spanky was very scared and hid for 5 days. Buckwheat (black cat) was pretty cuddly. Then the wicked landlady found I had 2 cats and made me get rid of one. So for 3 months, Buckwheat went to live with my dad. I moved. Buckwheat came home. But by that time, Spanky had blossomed and would not be dominated anymore! Sadly, in May, Buckwheat got sick and left us just like that! Nothing was working...neither antibiotics or alternative therapies. It just must have been her time. Spanky (calico) now enjoys being an only cat...heartless creature!

Spanky was first found hiding under cars at a local hospital. She was a grey matted mess. When she was cleaned up, it was discovered she is a very beautiful calico with fur that feels just like bunny fur! People can't stop touching her! She is a special one-eyed winky girl after having her left eye removed a year or so ago. She had glaucoma (unbeknownst to me!) and the eye started turning dark. The opthamologist felt sure it was cancerous but the only way to tell was to remove it! After I discovered how intense the pressure was in the eye, I know it was a relief to her to have it gone. Plus I think she was already blind in it. She's been completely healthy ever since. An animal communicator told me Buckwheat did NOT like her name! But she was SO fit her perfectly. But ever since then, I called her stuff like Sultana and Empress to let her know she was a very beautiful Buckwheat indeed!
