This chin wag is going to be pretty short as there isn't much going on with me at the moment. I think I live in sleepy hollow at the moment.
The weather is still cold here but at least for the last few days we've had some sun. It warmed things up a bit. Mum's old bones are bit happier at the moment and meant to last all week.
Went outside for a walk yesterday and Mum forgot to let me back in as usual but at least it wasn't too bad. I want to thank all my mates for sending the sun. We are nearly at the end of our winter but please keep the sun coming as it is nice to see if nothing else.
I want to give a shout out to my Grandpa. Who celebrates his birthday this Friday. I can't tell you which one but let's put it this way he really old.
Not only is Friday my Grandpa's birthday but it is also daffodil. Daffodil day rises money for cancer research. It has a great meaning to my mum as she lost a close friend to breast cancer at 42 and left behind a heart broken husband and a 10 year old daughter. it would be great if the world could be cancer free and research is one of the ways this can happen.
Here is some info on Daffodil day from the official site.
Daffodil Day 2011 is Friday 26th August
This year Daffodil Day celebrates its 25th Anniversary in Australia

Daffodil Day is for all of us to give hope for a brighter, cancer-free future
The largest national fundraising event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, Daffodil Day raises essential funds for cancer research, prevention and support services
The daffodil is the international symbol of hope for all touched by cancer
This year Daffodil Day aims to raise over $9.5 million to fund the cancer control initiatives, patient support and research services of Cancer Council's eight state and territory member organisations
More than 10,000 volunteers are expected to staff over 1,200 Daffodil Day sites across Australia
I hope this finds my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.
Purrs and hugs your Aussie mate
Ka - zar
Happy birthday to your grandpa!
Daffodil Day sounds like a great day for a good cause. Happy Birthday Grandpa..
Daffodil Day sounds like a wonderful idea. We have Susan Komen Walk for the Cure days to support breast cancer research, and if Mom can't walk that day she always sponsors somebody who can.
Glad your spring is nearing, Ka-zar. Of course that means our winter is just as close, but fair's fair. I'll soon have to trade my warm sun puddle for my heated bed.
Special birthday purrs to your Grandpa. We hope he has a happy day and best wishes for everyone raising funds for Daffodil Day. Headrubs Toby
Keeping those daffodils in our purrs and your mum's furiend too Ka-zar.
