My weekly rant for the week ending 1st May 2010

Wow where has this year gone another month done and dusted and it won't be too long before we'll be thinking about Christmas again.

I was wondering what I was going to write this rant about as there hasn't been much happening with me this week. It's been too cold to do anything outside as my chest is getting the rattles and also too wet.

I went outside today it was still cold but alright and it started to rain and I went for walk about and came back and got attacked by the mad mum and the towel. If I get too wet mum chases me around with a towel to dry me off as she says it that or trip to the vet, she even does it while I am trying to eat. I will take the towel as I don't want to go to the vet right now.

It's been a sad week this week as a few cats have made their trips to the bridge this week and it made me think. Most of my friends are olde furts and this is part and package of getting older it's not a part of the deal I like but it will happen to us all sooner or later.

I want all my mates to know that your friendship means the world to me. It the little things that matter and having my mates on catster knowing that they are there for me through the good and the bad time is very comforting to me and mum as she is mates with my catster mates mums on facebook. It's nice to know there is a soft place to full when times get tough.

I want to end this rant by asking you to join me in continuing the purrs for my mate Adam Dylan and his sister Eve who are both sick. If you have some purrs to spare after that another mate of my the beautiful Tansey is eating very little and unsteady on her feet if you could spare some purrs for her I'm sure it would appreciate it.

I hope this rant finds all my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.

please stay away from the vet! Find a nice warm cozy spot to take a nap! I'd send you a sunpuddle but we're not having much sun either!

You are right my friend, the journeys to the Bridge are just part and parcel of being part of an older crowd. It's too bad our lives have to be so short compared to our humans. But maybe it was planned that way so that most of the time they would be there fur us when we needed them. I mean, isn't it so sad those times that a cat outlives their human? *sigh* sad thoughts, sorry.

We continue to purr fur Adam and Eve and and sadly, many others, and we have begun our purrs fur miss Tansey.

You're a wise cat, Ka-zar. It takes a few years to learn all you've learned, and a few years after that to learn that everything you know doesn't amount to a heap of beans without your friends. And isn't that why we're all here?

So sorry to hear that the cold weather is settling in on you. Ours is improving by fits and starts. Tomorrow is supposed to summer-like, but two days ago the jade plants that Mom trusted to put on the deck got nipped by the cold at night.
