Arrival Story:
Eli was a San Francisco SPCA kitties "on display" in the windows at Neiman Marcus during the SF SPCA's 1999 holiday adoption event. I was in the area running an errand and thought I'd go see who was on display. There he was: the most adorable yellow ball of fur chasing a toy around and around in the window. A woman standing next to me (his guardian angel?) smiled and said, "Oh, he's a special one." I looked at her and then back at him. Then I went inside, filled out the paperwork, and took him home. We've been pretty inseparable ever since.

Bio:
Eli is an excellent traveler! He rode with me in the plane cabin when I relocated from San Francisco to Chicago, sleeping and purring the whole way! He has semi-retired from paper-ball chasing since his k9 sister Molly joined the family. It took a while for him to warm up to her--he was not amused when she chased him, and unlike Louie, he's too mild-mannered to swat her. Somehow they have reached detente, and (shhhhh) I have even caught them nose-kissing! Can true snuggling be far behind??
