Day 3

I guess it's good to roam wherever the river goes as long as you are a bit closer to your home where you can crawl up into your bed and go to sleep. The ground seems harder than when I was a kitten.. and the thermal bag just not quite warm enough in the night air of the mountains. The quiet can be good but can also echo in your head when you are used to other's around you. I don't know.. maybe I'm not such a FG after all. Maybe I wasn't as lost as I thought?

Face it are homesick and miss your brew. Life isn't that hard and you know you love to laugh.

Tossing my small amount of things together, hopping on my bike I head back home. Time to tend the nip brew and chase the ladies. ;) Can't depend on Tom J. to do it right MOL!!!! He's too afraid to stand near the still....MOL!!!

Day 2.

Today is a little better.. slower. I raced so hard yesterday I didn't even get to see where I came from or where I was heading. Just down the highway..

I took a few sideroads today taking in all around me.. I even stopped to eat which I didn't yesterday, I guess I forgot, and besides was not even hungry.

The area around here is nice, clear, cool and shady. I love the mountains and the smell of everything. It clears my head giving me time to think. I don't want to think really at times.. but at my age I guess I need to reflect on my life of nip brew and outrunning the law. It is a new era, not like when my Great, Great Grandpa Stewart was alive.

I have lost some and loved much. Totally unable to settle down for long, my sisters and brothers worrying about me all the time. It seems my life on the streets as a young man/cat sort of outlined my life, but I'm growing tired.

Well there's a Long John Silvers up ahead a ways and guess I'll hop on my bike and run there for some supper. Never gonna be as good as some I've had recently and I sure could use a nip beer but not while driving ....

Day 1.

It sucked.

I am from a LARGE furmily and used to all the commotion that goes with it. It was so strange to be alone again. I swore long ago I would never be and here I am racing down the road on my bike.

On the road.. the wind rushing past, the thrill of the ride making my heart beat fast. Watching the changing scenes my eyes taking in all the details.. the scent of the sea changing to the tang of pine. No place to call my own, but I live to be free.. flying down the road taking me to places I've never seen before.

Free to be me.. one with the land so I have a home wherever I lay my head. Come to me stars and sing to me moon.. a lullaby of life taking me wherever the wind flows.

The river flows
It flows to the sea
Wherever that river goes
Thats where I want to be
Flow river flow
Let your waters wash down
Take me from this road
To some other town

All he wanted
Was to be free
And thats the way
It turned out to be
Flow river flow
Let your waters wash down
Take me from this road
To some other town

Flow river flow
Past the shaded tree
Go river, go
Go to the sea
Flow to the sea

The river flows
It flows to the sea
Wherever that river goes
Thats where I want to be
Flow river flow
Let your waters wash down
Take me from this road
To some other town

Tears falling down my cheeks and whiskers as I am typing this. So many memories lost, so much fun, GONE! UNFAIR! It was a place you could go and be yourself. Leo NEVER demanded a lot from any of us, he was glad to see us even when we had not been there in a while. I want to know just WHO got my moonshine when it was torn down??????? Maybe if they take a big swig they MIGHT ease up a little........
We hope something may be done about it all.....hugs and kitty kisses, and many purrss.... Stewart

The Day After.

Tis the day after Thanksgiving and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The puppies were snuggled all tired in their bed.
With visions of turkey still dancing in their head.

And Mom with her Rolaids and Dad with a pain,
Had just settled their tummies, no TURKEY AGAIN!
When out in the kitchen there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter!

Away to the fridge I flew like a flash,
There Caroline was eating Turkey, then I heard a big CRASH!
She had pulled the shelf down, to the floor below,
The glass was all broken, it looked like it snowed.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear?
Mom in her nightgown, all covered in tears.
Dad was right behind her, so fast and so quick,
I knew in a moment, Sweet Caroline was sick!

She ate all the turkey, she ate all the pies.
She ate and she ate, til the food filled her eyes.

Go Caroline, Go Stewie, go fast to your bed,
I must clean this up now, run fast, FAST I said!
To the top of the bed, to the bed by the door,
Now dash away, dash away, I must clean the floor!

She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work,
And cleaning the floor, she turned with a jerk!
She filled up the dustpan, and garbage can too,
She swept, and she mopped, til the mess was all through!

Then she sprang back to bed, with her mind in a fog,
Restraining the urge to spank such a dog.
And I heard her soft whisper as she fell back in bed.
No Turkey next year!
We will just eat the BREAD!

I have to tell my furriends something.
I am so excited and know not many kitties have a middle name.
Well, here it goes.
My middle name, I found out is...... NO!
Mommie says it all the time.....Stewie No..........Stewart NO!
I just put two and two together and figured it out!
Isn't that wonderful?

Meow Meow to everykitty and everydog. My name is Stewart. Mommie calls me Stewball for a nickname. I think it is because she loved that song by Peter,Paul, and Mary.
I love living in a house. I know a lot of kitties take that for granted, but I don't. I remember how I was a outdoor kitty that didn't quite ever get enough to eat. I would go across the street to my present Mommie's house and she would always put food out for me.
I overheard her telling my Dad that she wasn't trying to get another cat....isn't that funny? I worked my manly charms on her and look where I am .
I remember living outside in the ice and snow, and in the heat with no water. Water fascinates me. I am the first in line everyday when my Mommie puts out fresh water for all of us. I just can't seem to get over that I can have all the clean water I want.
I came down with a sickness called distemper in the middle of winter. My Mommie went to the vet and got me some medicine and put out a nice, warm, dry covered box on her porch. I snuggled so tight in it. Then she went across the street and bargained for me. ME! Can you believe that? That is why I love her so much.
I remember when she came outside one day to check on me that my friend, the opossum, was in bed with me. It was so warm to have him snuggle next to me. The only thing is Mommie didn't know he was there, and when she reached into the box to pet me and give me my meds....there was Ol'Possy.
Mommie screamed so loud because she never touched one before, and that was before she knew that opossums are not a violent creature. I laughed so hard at that.
When I got well, (the vet wanted to be sure my new brothers and sisters wouldn't get what I had, even though they had their shots) , Mommie brought me inside. I couldn't believe it. It was so warm, and had all the fresh food and water I could want. I felt like I was in a dream.(Sometimes I still do.)
I will continue this story another day.....Meow I am so tired.
Love to all my furriends. xoxoxo
